"The Palmer Hotel is within 5 minutes walk from the Taichung Railway Station. The remodeled room’s design is nice, pleasant, and functional. The bed sheet, towels, and drapery are clean. The air confining works well with a cold personal fridge! The room service staff is friendly with good work. The breakfast serves different dishes everyday and they were tasty varieties! I consider the CP value (cost and price) is very high! It is highly recommended for the budget solo travelers!"

"The hotel is designed in a very cute way. Staff are friendly and hotel breakfast has a nice menu. The ceilings in the room are quite low. Bathroom is large and separated toilet is very nice. Bed is comfortable but pillows are too soft. TV can connect to YouTube and Netflix. Location is walking distance to Chun Shui Tang and Miyahara, but nowhere near the metro. We used an Uber to get to further places. Hammock is limited to 90kg weight."

"Strong water pressure and consistent hot water. The location is superb; there's a temple park directly opposite, and it's super convenient for exploring Fengjia Night Market. Taichung's local Fengkang Supermarket is also within walking distance, where I even picked up a few cans of traceable tea. The front desk staff were friendly, and the decor had a charming, whimsical feel. However, the sheets clearly hadn't been changed. How did I know? They were so wrinkled... and when I flipped the duvet cover, there were dirty stains. It seriously looked like they'd been used on both sides before finally being sent to the laundry! 😂 They partner with a restaurant downstairs, but seeing the wheat-free noodle options completely put me off. 🙄"
