Palmer Hotel ★★★
"This hotel is located right near Taichung Station, which is super convenient for independent travelers. They offer rooms that can accommodate a family of five, and there's a self-service laundry facility available. Definitely a recommended hotel!"
La Vida Hotel ★★★★
"We Checked in late at abt 8pm. Our room was quite dusty and old. The bath tub was run down too. But after we feedback to the hotel reception, they had helped to arranged for a room change immediately and all was good after that. Thanks to the front desk folks for making our stay a pleasant one."
Chance Hotel ★★★
"I chose this hotel because it is a two-minute walk from Taichung station. There are plenty of places to eat nearby, including the famous ice cream place Miyahara. The laundry room has two washing machines and two dryers. I chose a windowless room, it was a great size for one person, and I couldn't hear my neighbours."
Twinstar Hotel ★★★
"Booked the executive double room for my husband and I and also booked another Triple Room for my sister, nephew and mom. We chose this hotel because it's close to the train station and next to a shopping mall! The hotel is older but we needed a better, firmer bed (we had a bad experience at another hotel) and decided to book Twinstar Hotel urgently. Definitely slept way better here!!!"
Norway Forest Travel hotel 1 Taichung ★★★
"The location is fantastic and very convenient for transport. I do wish the front desk staff could provide a bit more explanation and service. While SOPs are important for workflows, a little extra clarification would make the experience feel warmer. Thank you."
In Joy Hotel ★★★★
"The room was spacious, and the location was fantastic. The front desk staff, especially the female attendant, was very patient and friendly. Both breakfast and the late-night snacks were delicious. A unique and fun aspect of staying here was that they used casino-style chips to redeem meals – one chip for one item. This service was incredibly thoughtful and user-friendly."
Bravo Hotel ★★★
"The hotel is really commendable. The staff are nice and can speak English well, the location is really nice! It is within prime location. Just a walking distance to the Taichung Station, Taroko Mall, Miyahara and other tourist spot within the city vicinity. Bus stops is also near to the hotel. I would stay here again."
Norway Forest Travel hotel 3 Taichung ★★★
"The breakfast was great! The room was clean, tidy, and comfortable. The front desk staff were incredibly patient and attentive, always ready to answer any questions. There's also a massage chair in the lobby, perfect for unwinding after a long day of traveling. Highly recommend!"
Nagahiro Hotel- Taichung Wenxin ★★★
"The hotel was clean and looks newly renovated. The rooms were really big and spacious. This will be one of my favourite hotels in terms of room cleanliness and comfort. The hotel lobby provided light drinks, snacks and cup noodles that we can take for free. location wise is pretty convenient as I travel mostly by uber, the rides were 200NTD or lesser. Definitely will stay here again."

OKU Hotel Taichung
"I had such a great stay at Taichung Oku Hotel! The place has a super stylish design—everything feels modern and chic, which made the whole vibe really enjoyable. My room was spacious and comfy, way bigger than I expected, so it was perfect for relaxing after a day out in Taichung. The guest service team was fantastic too—friendly, helpful, and always ready to make things easier. They really added to the experience and made me feel welcome. Overall, it was a wonderful stay, and I’d definitely come back again. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a hotel that combines great style, comfort, and service!"
InterContinental TAICHUNG by IHG
"Luxury hotel and great amenities!! The gym was a little small but good enough. The hotel is next to a mall and there are convenient stores / other small shops nearby. Enjoyed this quieter part of town"
Inhouse Hotel Grand
"In-house hotel grand We stayed on a rainy day and the design of the room is covered with wooden wall paper (up to the ceiling!!) and fully carpeted floor. The musty humid smell once we opened the door made myself and my kid keep sneezing and couldn’t sleep properly. They don’t even have a purifier or dehumidifier with such unbearable air quality. I have booked the room type Elite room which claims to be 56sqm . But the corridor and the bathroom has taken almost half of the room size which leaves a small studio area. I will not come back again"
Le Méridien Taichung

53 Hotel
"The location is so convenient, there’s also Family Mart and Watson nearby you can easily get anything you looking for. And the famous ice cream store is opposite the hotel. The hotel is also quite clean and tidy. Recommended! ☺️"
CityInn (Taichung Station)
"Good location and decent breakfast. Free drinks at Level 1."
Holiday Inn Express TAICHUNG PARK by IHG
"Location is good. Walking distance to major transport and adjacent to factory outlet mall. Room is good size for couple and can add bed or family room. There is curated one day tour trip provided by the hotel and very competitive to outside tour. Tour guide selected and provided by hotel is professional, responsible and accommodating to needs. Hotel Breakfast is quite normal or standard which can be more exciting or international as IHG leh. If one of the day trip is to Lukang, there is bus literally outside the hotel. Walking distance and there is also option of walking to nearby bus stop to take bus to YiZhong street. Also got bus to Fengjia night market, very convenient."
RedDot Hotel
"Located in the old town, the area next to it is quite run-down. The room condition was just average; the air conditioner vent and bathroom fan were both very dirty. Even the hairdryer bag was too grimy to touch. The ceiling was quite low, making it feel a bit claustrophobic. However, the price was cheap, so it's purely a budget-friendly option."
Taichung Harbor Hotel
"The front desk were very helpful and friendly. The rooms were the right size. Sufficient lighting, warm and bright. Clean room with refillable drinking water. Breakfast with wide selection. Just the kind of hotel that you will want to stay after a full day work. Also special mention to the staff that helps to retrieve back my colleague's missing shirt."
Voga motel
"The room was exactly as pictured. We used to stay in motels with the kids, but this time we booked a hotel room, and it really showed that you get what you pay for 😂. When in Taichung, the 'Motel Capital,' it's still more comfortable to stay in a motel – they offer more space and you can even enjoy a bath 🛁."
Fullon Hotel Lihpao Resort
"It’s not bad. You can go back and put your things whenever you are tired from playing in the park or visiting the outlets. Everything you need is there. The family room is large and comfortable, and the facilities are pretty good. You can swim, sauna, and borrow billiards and billiards equipment. , it happened to coincide with Halloween🎃There was a pumpkin hunting activity which was also very interesting. Our family had a great time."
The Splendor Taichung Hotel
"We have always stayed in this hotel whenever we go to Taichung. The hotel location is great for us because there are 2 24 hour convenience stores just downstairs. A lot of different restaurants on few steps away. SOGO department store across the street. Too bad the movie theaters are closed now we used to be able to catch a late night movie during our previous trips. Starbucks is in the basement of the building where the hotel is but with the great coffee from Familymart and 711 you do not need starbucks. Bus station is just downstairs. (no train yet in Taichung so this is the next best thing.) There are taxis waiting all the time downstairs as well. The buffet breakfast is great here with a very friendly head chef (head chef Hsieh) who is always present and interacts with all the diners. (too bad we missed him this trip) The rooms are big but do take note of new law in Taiwan and bring your own toothbrush and toothpaste and razors. Although the great thing about this hotel is they do sell toiletries at a cheap price (toothbrush and small toothpaste is just ntd 10) unlike other hotels in Taiwan that absolutely do not provide anything and do not sell. If it is your first time, I would recommend staying here as you will not go wrong here. Then maybe try other hotels next time so you get to experience the Splendor Hotel standard."
Elence Hotel
"Located near the train station and just a 10-minute walk to Lalaport. The overall cleanliness was excellent, breakfast was included, and the staff provided great service. Given the affordable price, it's a highly recommended choice."
Inhouse Hotel Taichung
A refined boutique hotel nestled in the bustling East District, celebrated for its elegant, botanical-inspired design and highly attentive, personalized service.
Tea Way Hotel
"Location is convenient and the staff are helpful and friendly."
Norway Forest Creative Motel
"My boyfriend and I stayed here for the first time. The room was quite spacious and came with a bathtub. Unfortunately, the internet connection for the TV was a bit spotty. On the positive side, the pillows were nice and soft, and the soundproofing was good."
