Palmer Hotel ★★★
"The place is accessible and near train station and the room are new and clean. There breakfast also tasty. 😋"
La Vida Hotel ★★★★
"Convenient location, near Feng Jia night market (5-10min walk). The only downside - parking is challenging."
Chance Hotel ★★★
"My room was spacious, spotless, and had a remarkably comfortable bed. The hotel's convenient location near major landmarks."
Twinstar Hotel ★★★
"It really close to train station and convenience store. But the place really old and dusty not recommended to stay if your allergy on dust."
Norway Forest Travel hotel 1 Taichung ★★★
"The location is fantastic and very convenient for transport. I do wish the front desk staff could provide a bit more explanation and service. While SOPs are important for workflows, a little extra clarification would make the experience feel warmer. Thank you."
In Joy Hotel ★★★★
"The room was spacious, and the location was fantastic. The front desk staff, especially the female attendant, was very patient and friendly. Both breakfast and the late-night snacks were delicious. A unique and fun aspect of staying here was that they used casino-style chips to redeem meals – one chip for one item. This service was incredibly thoughtful and user-friendly."
Bravo Hotel ★★★
"Luckily I got a beautiful room with window view, also, overall is clean, great location and feel safe as nearby police station, would recommend."
Norway Forest Travel hotel 3 Taichung ★★★
"The breakfast was great! The room was clean, tidy, and comfortable. The front desk staff were incredibly patient and attentive, always ready to answer any questions. There's also a massage chair in the lobby, perfect for unwinding after a long day of traveling. Highly recommend!"
Nagahiro Hotel- Taichung Wenxin ★★★
"This hotel is close to the city hall and Wenhua Senior High School, and very near Feng Chia University, making it suitable for those traveling by car. The room was very clean, and I appreciate them upgrading us to a family-sized room. The cleaning lady was also very nice. Downstairs, there's coffee, juice, and biscuits. It's great to grab a coffee before heading out in the morning! However, it seems like the washing machine on the left on the 9th floor has an issue. I set it for a standard 40-minute wash, but when I checked an hour later, it hadn't spun dry at all – all my clothes were just sitting in water! I had to spend another 20 NTD just for the spin cycle... What a waste of 20 NTD!"

Icloud Luxury Resort & Hotel
"Stayed for one night and woke up to find small pebbles coming out of the bathroom faucet. I reported it to the front desk, and they sent a housekeeper to empty our water. Then, they brought three new glasses, claiming there were no pebbles this time. It made us feel like they thought we had gone out, found sand, and put it in the water just to con them. The housekeeper then explained that she couldn't see clearly earlier because of the reflection in the cup. So, if you stay here, maybe check your water for sand with a cup first! Seriously, the soundproofing is also really bad! You can clearly hear arguments next door, kids running upstairs, people chatting outside the door, and even people being intimate next door! Think twice before booking."
Golden Tulip Zhong Xin Hotel Taichung
"Before booking, I checked reviews and specifically chose the newer Zhaoyin Building. While the room was quite spacious and offered direct access to the rooftop pool and spa facilities, overall, it felt a bit dated. The carpet clearly had a lot of dust, and I wouldn't let my child walk barefoot on it. The worst part was the air conditioning, which was an issue in the room, the play area, and the restaurant. On the first night, the AC in our room inexplicably turned off. Everyone woke up hot, and even after turning it back on, it remained stifling. After reporting it on the second day, someone came to adjust it, but then it became freezing cold 😭. Getting to the breakfast restaurant required walking outdoors to the Pinzhen Building, which wasn't very convenient. On our third morning, there was a tour group, and the hotel didn't seem to manage their dining times, resulting in us, independent travelers, being seated in a deeper section. The air conditioning there wasn't turned on beforehand. Although they switched it on immediately when we were seated, by the time it gradually cooled down, we had already finished breakfast, sweating the whole time. The small play area on the first floor of the restaurant also had no air conditioning whatsoever; my child was practically boiling while playing there. The only redeeming features were the decent swimming pool and spa. My child had a great time, but the changing rooms were too small, with only two for men and two for women. The external part had simple, short curtains, which didn't provide enough privacy, making it difficult for mothers with children to shower together. I hope they can improve this!"

"Windows soundproofing is not very good"

Taichung Harbor Hotel
"It’s out near the coastal area. The complimentary shuttle service makes it easy for our visit. Good gym equipment and sauna facilities."
Hoya Resort Hotel Wuling
"The hotel service was good. The hotel breakfast was more plentiful and tastier than expected. The room was clean and comfortable. The bedding was clean. I would stay here again next time."
Fullon Hotel Lihpao Resort
"The breakfast was excellent, the room was spacious, and it was close to the theme park outlet. The spa water was a little dirty; it would be nice if it could be cleaner."
The Splendor Taichung Hotel
"We have always stayed in this hotel whenever we go to Taichung. The hotel location is great for us because there are 2 24 hour convenience stores just downstairs. A lot of different restaurants on few steps away. SOGO department store across the street. Too bad the movie theaters are closed now we used to be able to catch a late night movie during our previous trips. Starbucks is in the basement of the building where the hotel is but with the great coffee from Familymart and 711 you do not need starbucks. Bus station is just downstairs. (no train yet in Taichung so this is the next best thing.) There are taxis waiting all the time downstairs as well. The buffet breakfast is great here with a very friendly head chef (head chef Hsieh) who is always present and interacts with all the diners. (too bad we missed him this trip) The rooms are big but do take note of new law in Taiwan and bring your own toothbrush and toothpaste and razors. Although the great thing about this hotel is they do sell toiletries at a cheap price (toothbrush and small toothpaste is just ntd 10) unlike other hotels in Taiwan that absolutely do not provide anything and do not sell. If it is your first time, I would recommend staying here as you will not go wrong here. Then maybe try other hotels next time so you get to experience the Splendor Hotel standard."
Beacon Hotel
"The accommodation is very convenient, right next to the night market. The room was also very clean, and the breakfast was delicious. This trip was mainly with my child, so I booked a day tour on another platform, and the shuttle bus picked us up directly at the hotel."
RedDot Hotel
"Located in the old town, the area next to it is quite run-down. The room condition was just average; the air conditioner vent and bathroom fan were both very dirty. Even the hairdryer bag was too grimy to touch. The ceiling was quite low, making it feel a bit claustrophobic. However, the price was cheap, so it's purely a budget-friendly option."
Elence Hotel
"The hotel's location is convenient, the staff are friendly, and the environment is clean and hygienic. The bathroom has a separate wet and dry area, and the bed is just the right firmness – very springy. I would definitely stay here again; highly recommend it!"

"Nice stay, very convenient , good location, good receptions"
