@@travel_with_the_sunExcellent! I don't know where to start. Everything was perfect, what you would expect from a place to stay and feel at home with perfect clealiness and comfort. So here in addition the things that makes its special: Super friendly and helpful staff, free bicycles, 5 mins from the main station, you have three little boxes at the bathroom containing cotton swabs, dental floss and sanitary pad. The breakfast was excellent, everyone gets an egg to prepare it by your own how you like it in the kitchen, different jams/spreads, a toaster, orange juice and of course coffee and tea. Also excellent: There is cooking oil, salt and pepper and even knifes in the kitchen. It sounds strange, but these are not very common in hostels. Everything is well organised, from check-in to all infos you may need in the hostel or around the area. I met great other traveler and the hostel offers a very good environment to socialize in the common spaces.
The only tiny thing which I missed is just a towel, some hostel have it, some don't.
One of the best hostels on my travels. It is a 6/5!

GGuest UserA truly comfortable place to stay. My favorite part was the landscaping in the common areas, which created an incredibly relaxing atmosphere. The only thing missing was a TV in the rooms, but perhaps that's to encourage guests to really get out and explore the beauty of Taitung.

GGuest UserPool was under maintenance during the period of stay. Location though at night market was still a distance away from railway station. Taxi fare abt TWD220. There was hotel shuttle service but no clear instructions on how to book in advance. Info not available on trip.com. Concierge staff did not readily offer the service also. Was told only available to members. Not for 3rd party booking. Am disappointed.
Room was spacious. 2 queen size beds. But toilet and bathroom were small. Head will hit the door if I sit at toilet bowl and lean just a bit forward. The bathroom door hits the rain shower head, so if not notice, and open the door with force may break the glass door.
Yellow lights in the room were very dim. Make ambience cozy and classy but very straining to the eyes.
2 out of 3 laundry machines out of order. Laundry powder did not dispense from vending machine. Hv to change coins at lobby when laundry is at 6th floor.
Overall, not quite up to expectations unfortunately.

The breakfast was excellent, very thoughtfully prepared, and the dining environment was lovely.
Overall, it was acceptable.
It's close to Taitung Bus Station, a 3-minute walk from the hotel, making it convenient for travel and transportation. This trip was great!
The service from the front desk staff could be improved.

Waking up in the morning to a breath of fresh air, with sunlight gently illuminating the vast green fields and the soothing sounds of birds chirping—it’s an instant moment of relaxation. The guesthouse is impeccably maintained, offering a peaceful and nature-filled retreat, truly a hidden paradise for relaxation.
The highlight of the stay was the coffee machine provided by the guesthouse—offering Starbucks-quality finely ground coffee with an irresistible aroma. Enjoying a freshly brewed cup while gazing at the beautiful scenery outside made every moment of the trip feel worthwhile. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, with thoughtful details that showed great hospitality.
If you’re looking for a place to escape the hustle and bustle and immerse yourself in nature, this is undoubtedly the best place to stay in Taitung. I will definitely be coming back next time I visit! 🌿☀️☕

SSS玩The boss is very nice and knows what guests need to pay attention to.
The accommodation is the best value for money and is friendly to non-smoking guests. The bathroom appliances are functioning properly and intact. The only drawback is the lack of hooks and countertop space.
There will be shared facilities on the first floor, such as water dispenser, refrigerator, and your own beverage area.
There are massage chairs etc. .

AAnonymous UserThe location of the hostel is about 100m away from Taitung bus station. The bed/pillow/blanket are hotel standard as their main service is hotel.
However, there is only 1 toilet for 6 beds.
Also, there is no sign in the room indicating 'to keep lower voice/sound'. Had bad experience that local young lady return to the hostel in the middle of the night with big bang sound and walk on the tatami like big elephant for several nights. Also, waking up at around 6am with very harsh sound drawing the curtain. Definitely not a good experience.
The hotel should put a note to remind all traveller to behave themselves. I believe the local has lesser experience to respect other travellers when staying in dormitory.

GGuest UserWhile the facilities are new, there's considerable room for improvement in overall service. Here are a few points for consideration:
1. Before arrival, I received a call asking if I'd be okay changing from a king-bed room to two twin beds, which I agreed to. However, upon checking in, I found the room's window to be unusually small and the room quite dark. When I raised this with the front desk, they claimed I had already confirmed the change. This room clearly didn't match the photos, especially since I had specifically booked a higher-priced room. It only makes sense to switch to a two-twin-bed room if it's of a comparable price and quality. Eventually, they moved me to a quad room with a large window.
2. During check-in, when confirming payment, I was told my credit card had only been pre-authorized and not actually charged yet. However, the Trip.com app clearly showed that payment had already been made. This created a bad impression. If I had allowed the front desk to swipe my card again, I would have been double-charged. There seems to be a significant loophole in their payment management system, which could easily lead to disputes later on and should be addressed immediately.
3. In the bathroom, the shower stall only has a quarter-glass panel separating it from the sink area. After showering, the floor around the sink was completely soaked. A full glass sliding door or a shower curtain is definitely needed to prevent water from splashing all over the bathroom floor during a shower.
4. I needed a late check-out because my event didn't finish until noon, and I was aware of the 200/hour charge. I informed the front desk that morning, but upon returning, I found my key card had been deactivated, and I couldn't access my room. There's clearly a communication breakdown among the internal staff.
5. Upon check-in, breakfast was an additional 100 per person. However, when I went for breakfast, no one asked for my room number, which made me wonder if non-paying guests could also dine there. Including breakfast in the room rate might prevent such misunderstandings, or they should strictly enforce payment confirmation before allowing guests to eat.
