The hotel is boutique and situated in a cove. The walk is tough to get around, so it’s not for people with mobility issues. The cable car was closed! The gym was closed (my husband is an international sportsman, so that was not ok for him). The food is ok for breakfast, however, they run out a lot and I had to keep asking for things. The beds on the beach are not great, neither are they comfortable. Bella island was also closed. It was May so it’s confusing how things were closed. The hotel was noisy, they had an event and were shouting and laughing whilst dragging (yes dragging) big furniture outside along my room on stones. Woke me up at 3am! Seriously. Very bizarre behaviour for a hotel. Certainly wouldn’t go back.

Meravigliosa & romantica location. Personale gentile e professionale. Un elogio particolare a Miguel e tutti i ragazzi della ristorazione. Simpatici, efficienti e in gamba. Gentilissime le signore delle pulizie e tutto lo staff che gestisce i lettini e la zona spiaggia. Colazione & pranzo top! Complimenti anche al Sign. Daniele alla reception, rapidissimo nella gestione del problem solving. Alla fine…abbiamo prolungato il soggiorno.

This is an exceptional place. In addition to the beautiful setting, rooms and breakfast. The staff, from the reception, managers, waiters and lifeguards go above and beyond to make your stay memorable. We loved our stay and will definitely be back. I never write reviews but was so impressed on this occasion I had to. Thank you La plage.

WOW. Where do I start. I booked this place for a supirise trip with my husband and our friends for his birthday. I did alot it research but it was 10 x better. The most amazing service, cleaned daily, couldn't have done more for us! We had a bungalow with a hot tub (bungalow 205) right on the front. It was absolutely fab!!! Super cosy and comfortable but completely elegant too! Honestly this place is probably the most fab places I've been to and am looking to return next year again! 5 min taxi ride to the town or can go for a little walk bear hotel too. Private beach and no panic for sunbeds.... they sort you one no matter what! View of Isola bella as its infront of the hotel which was great and we also did a boat trip which was an hour at €50 per person but this gets you a private tour- if your happy to go with a lot more people and a boat full ots €25 per person. The boats are end of the pier by the hotel so Super close too!we had Peppe who was great and threw in a fruit platter & a bottle of prosecco! To book you just ask the hotel to sort! Please if you are thinking of booking this place - BOOK IT!!!! You will not be disappointed.

The beach is very pretty even when packed full of tourists, which I imagine it always is. We were there in mid-September touring the island and found it not that crowded everywhere, except here. Can’t imagine how it would be peak season. It’s also nicely located for hiking up to Taormina. If the room price was closer to 250 euros per night (for a small room) I’d have been OK about it. But it was nearly triple that and absolutely not worth it. Felt like we were on a cruise. We stayed earlier at San Marco just south of here and would have preferred to go there again instead of La Plage.

Lovely location by the beach but the “cottage” we were in was very small. We were upgraded to a cottage with a hot tub which was a nice touch and greeted by a very friendly female receptionist. Food and drink was very overpriced. I really too umbrage at an attempted charge of 10 euros for room service for a large bottle of water to be delivered to our room (on top of a 3 euro charge for the water itself!) when I’d walked to reception to ask for a bottle, had said I would wait and the male receptionist said “no no, we will deliver it to your room.” That’s incredibly poor form to a) charge for the water in a country where bottled water is the norm and b) attempt to charge a room service fee. We’ve been surprised and delighted by Taormina itself but on balance wouldn’t stay at this hotel again. Expensive for underwhelming facilities.

We had a 2 night stay at La Plage Resort The staff is beyond helpful and kind. Everyone is so helpful. It was a big birthday and they were kind enough to give us an upgrade to a better bungalow. We were in bungalow 215. It is an odd shape and on the smaller side but it is extremely clean, private and has everything you need. we had our own private patio with lounge chairs overlooking the beach and Isalo bella. It was very romantic. The beach area has lounge chairs, umbrellas and towels for guests. Be aware that the beach is rocky. You will need water shoes. You can easily walk to Isalo bella and tour the little island. You might want to bring your snorkel gear as there is snorkeling in the protected nature water reserve. The breakfast buffet was excellent and extensive. It had everything and then some. The rooms at La Plage are not inexpensive but neither are the other luxury beachfront resorts in Taorima. The location is a very short walk to the gondola to get to the Taorima old city. Parking is on site.If you want to replicate the White Lotus Isola Bella experience, this is the place!!

This lovely hotel is situated directly on the beach of Isola Bella. Enjoy reserved beach chairs and umbrellas. This is a pure rocky beach, being equipped for the beach with shoes is highly recommended. Nice snorkelling! The staff is wonderful and very attentive. Delicious breakfast on the terrace with a lovely view. Rooms are not too large but spacious enough, comfortable pillows, a selection of two different pillows to choose from. A cute pair of flip flops as a souvenir await in your room, bathrobe and safe in room. Parking is conveniently on site. Great recommendations for restaurants and sightseeing. The hotel was very gracious on the day of our departure and granted us an extended two hours for the room.
