"We as a family of 4 had a fantastic experience of stay at Baia Taormina for a week during the Easter Break. As it was the beginning of the season, it was not so busy and the weather was beautiful and we were lucky in that regard. Flew into Catania Airport and hired a car to drive, and it takes about an hour to reach the hotel, which is perched on a hill with great views of the Bay. Without a car it would be difficult to go to different places but hotel shuttle is available to go to Taormina for a price. The quadruple room was very spacious and has a big balcony and the sea view was breathtaking. Sunrise is not to be missed. Staff are very nice and helpful - particularly Doriana and Stephania at the Reception. The restaurant was neat and has a nice view of the sea and later in the summer, outdoor dining would be available too. The restaurant staff are great too, and we were well served by Franco Randazzo (Maitre) and others including Laura, Samuele, Antonio to name a few. Food was great with plenty of variety. One suggestion would be that they name the individual dishes with a name card as we had to ask what they are and about the ingredients. Many beaches are nearby such as Malazzo, Letojanni, Giardini Naxos etc. A trip to Mount Etna is a must. "Godfather" movie locations in a couple of medieval villages nearby, if you are a movie buff. All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed the stay, helped by great weather."

"Hotel is very basic but was clean and we only used as a base. We had a great beach view which made up for any shortcomings. Ideally located for the cable car to the main town and this was €10 return. If going to beach highly recommend taking the stairs just outside hotel across the road less steep. The ones by the taxis are steep and smelly. Two beach clubs available one is €35 euros per bed and you can order drinks etc via a qr code the other one is €25 per bed this one you can turn up to the other best to book as more popular. One thing I will say about hotel rooms on the main road is very noisy as there is a Trainline runs under the main road and these trains go past until 11.30 in the evening and start early. Windows have shutters but makes no difference to noise so take earplugs just in case. Bathroom tiny and shower has zero power more a trickle but we made do. Beach shoes are a must buy from the little supermarket before you go as sea is very stoned and hurts feet. Not ideal beach for little kids. Breakfast at the hotel was basic continental we only went down the first day and it wasn’t for us so we purchased fresh fruit from supermarket each day. Rooms have no drink facilities or fridge which is annoying. Staff were friendly and helpful though so can’t fault them so if looking for somewhere with a great morning view and a base then it’s a good cheap base."

"Taormina, Sicily is known for its stunning vistas and what we witnessed from our cliffside room at the Maison Blanche was absolutely spectacular. Staying at this B&B turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip to Sicily. And considering what other properties/hotels in Taormina charge for this million dollar view and setting, it was an absolute bargain. Giovanna was a wonderful and gracious host and the breakfast she prepared was hearty and delicious. Our room was beautiful and spacious with a private terrace and panoramic view of the Isola Bella and the Ionian Sea. The bus stop in to town runs every ten minutes or so and is right outside the property. We can't wait to go back. Highly recommended!"

"The location is perfect to visit everywhere in Taormina town. We stayed in the family suite with a good view. The room was clean and has the basic necessary item. If we add one small request, the mattress quality for the sofa bed (only for the third person) should be considered. The normal bed is comfortable, but the sofa bed gave me the backache."

"In total, it was a good stay. The price 1150€ for 2 nights is insane though. I like that the pool is open 24/7 and there is a beautiful restaurant with a view. The property also offered an upgrade, which was nice. The rooms are white and cold, though. Also the rooms should be cleaned while the guests are having the breakfast, so they need to use the updated system for tracking that."

Taormina Garden Hotel
"Aside from taking a taxi from the station, it cost 15 euros. It's not in town, but at the foot of the mountain. Breakfast was simple, but okay. There's a walking trail nearby that takes a few minutes to reach a small beach; here are a few photos I snapped. It's best to take the cable car to the mountaintop theater 🚠, otherwise climbing is quite tiring; it took me 40 minutes to walk 2.1km. The Chinese restaurant where the photos were taken is less than 100 meters from the cable car station, but it was closed."
Hotel Isabella
"First of all, I am satisfied with the location and lobby of this hotel. The sanitation is also very clean! But what I can't accept is that the bathroom in the classic room I booked is completely different from the one I stayed in! The shower head was broken and was not replaced until the next day! And the room is very small! I feel itchy under the quilt! The air conditioner was terrible and too loud to sleep with it on! You can't even open the window because outside is someone else's balcony! It's really too much to pay more than 1,000 RMB a night for one person to stay in such a room! The mattress was very uncomfortable, it was a box spring from decades ago! I am so disappointed about this! When I checked in, I asked the front desk if drinking water was free and they said it was free, but when I checked out, I had to pay 2.5 euros per bottle of water! Although I can take a special car to the beach for 5 euros, it doesn't make me trust this hotel again! The breakfast was terrible! A lot of the fruit is bad!"

"This hotel is really quite dated, but it is clean, the breakfast is of a good standard and the staff are really fabulous. It is approximately 1.5 miles from Taormina and costs €50 in a taxi for this short journey. Taxi’s are sparse and Uber doesn’t seem to function in this area. However, if you turn left along the seafront and walk to Bar Enjoy, there is a bus stop just around the corner. I think the bus stop says Fermata or something like that. (Ignore the big blue bus shelter opposite) a bus goes to Taormina once per hour for €2. When you come back you catch the bus where you get dropped but you must buy your ticket from the ticket office where you catch the bus, before getting on. If you want a budget friendly accommodation then this is this hotel works. The nearer to Taormina you get, the more expensive accommodation becomes!"

"The hotel is a bit old, but considering the price, it's still good value for money. It has everything you need. I emailed them beforehand and they actually prepared a kettle for me. The room has air conditioning and a stunning sea view. The breakfast is decent, and the service is average, though you don't really need much service. It's like a budget version of the Grand Budapest Hotel. It's about a 15-minute walk to the cable car and has a private beach with very friendly staff."

"I recommend this wonderful hotel to anyone who loves luxury stays. We escaped a fake 5-star hotel on the bay of Taormina and took refuge in this oasis of luxury and well-being. The staff was fantastic and the cleanliness was impeccable. The food was exquisite; the restaurant was Michelin-starred. This was our first experience in Sicily, and I must say, Taormina is truly magical. Come and discover this hotel, you'll fall in love; it was also the location for the TV series "The White Lotus." Absolute luxury, a top-notch hotel!"

"Firstly, I cannot sufficiently elucidate the importance and impact of the hotel's greatest asset: the staff and their unending passion for service. When they ask if everything is ok, it is not rehearsed or fake and rings of true care. Marco the sommelier in the restaurant and, quite frankly everyone we engaged with at the restaurant on the dinner of the 4th of May, was a consummate professional with true pride in what the team could offer. The recommendations we received were on the mark. Dinner was a masterclass in delivering faultlessness execution, both in service and culinary delights. The food struck a fine balance of flavours, bringing tradition and the best of local produce to a modern reality, all framed by the unique panorama. The hotel overall could not be better located, it is brilliantly kept, extremely clean with an unerring attention to detail. I could not find fault, and if you read my previous reviews of similar caliber hotels.... I am not shy at voicing potential improvements. The room (junior suite) was spacious, well appointed, with a delightful balcony over the pool, enabling optimal enjoyment of the signature view. Housekeeping was particularly to be lauded. Luxury is not a formula, it is provided by true service, care, attention to detail and a touch of the intangible "something special". Grand Hotel Timeo and their staff delivers in spades. My humble congratulations."

"The location is on the hillside of the ancient city, with the ancient castle in the background. You can see the ancient Greek theater on the top floor, and it is only a 1-minute walk to the central street of the ancient city. The room facilities are modern and generally superior rooms are relatively small and suitable for one person. You can see the sunrise from the balcony room."

"The perfect place to experience the Taormina area, especially during the Sicilian summer heat. We were so glad we chose the peaceful seaside setting instead of staying up in the busy town center. Waking up each morning to the view of the sea was unforgettable, and the easy access to the beach made it feel like a true escape. The biggest surprise, though, was how incredibly well we slept. The beds were quite simply the most comfortable we've experienced anywhere in our travels. I'm a bit of a pillow snob and often pack my own when we travel, but I didn't need it here. Even the pickiest sleeper will be delighted. In fact, I'd love to know what brand of pillows they use! Breakfast was the only meal we enjoyed at the hotel, and it was excellent, with beautiful surroundings and attentive service. The elegant décor throughout the property perfectly reflects the charm of Sicily. When we think back on our stay, only one word comes to mind: perfetto!"

"Beautiful views, excellent air-conditioning, and a lovely pool area made for a very comfortable stay. The hotel itself is a bit older, but that only adds to its charm. Parking can be a slight hassle, but the walk into town is manageable and worth it. Considering the price, it was an excellent visit to a truly beautiful part of the world."

"The cleanliness was a bit lacking... There was a layer of dust on the coffee table, and old dust in the corners of the floor, even the air conditioner vents were covered in dust... The service was pretty good, the staff were very friendly, and the location was indeed excellent. The family room was one large open space without partitions, which wasn't very convenient... Its main advantage was the price-performance ratio; it's relatively inexpensive in Taormina."

"The hotel is located halfway up the mountain, with beautiful scenery along the way. Since it is off-season, you don't need to worry about ZTL if you drive there in February, but the hotel villas and pool restaurant areas will not be open until March or April. The hotel apartment area is a separate building not far from the villa. Although it is an apartment, it is the most beautiful room I have stayed in Sicily. Extra large space, a big bed facing the sea, a balcony with sea views and Mount Etna at the same time, waking up from the bed every day will have the best mood. The hotel staff is very friendly and enthusiastic, providing butler-style service, helping us move the car, check in, carry luggage, and take the initiative to introduce hotel facilities and surrounding attractions. The pink sunset in Taormina is the best welcome gift for this trip."

"Comfortable and good stay, the key is that we drove here by ourselves, and there is a public parking lot next to it, 8 euros a day. After parking the car, you can walk to anywhere. The sun is bright and the scenery is picturesque. The public area of the hotel is also facing the sea. It is very cost-effective and worth recommending. My friend said that this hotel is the most unforgettable one along the way."

"The hotel is right on Caparena beach. The shuttle service that runs to the center of Taormina until late is very convenient. The external part of the hotel is very beautiful, very well looked after: garden, beach and pool area. The rooms need to be reviewed: we had two rooms on the ground floor, rather obsolete: I would invest in a minimum of restyling. Overall very satisfying experience"
