Alexandra Beach Spa Resort

A very nice hotel, located right next to the town of Potos, where there is a nice, sandy beach (10 minutes walk). The hotel grounds are very well-kept and clean. The hotel is located on a cliff, which adds to its charm. The hotel has 2 swimming pools, a small shop and a tavern. The food is brilliant. The rooms are clean. The hotel beach is rocky and pebble with free sun loungers, clean and well-kept. The entire hotel is surrounded by greenery and trees, which is very good during hot weather to be able to experience it in a pleasant way.

Mostly positives as we had an amazing week at this hotel in Thassos. Room - spotless, felt like it was brand new, loads of room and really quiet. Food - superb spread of food in the buffet, massive selection at breakfast and dinner to suit all diets and on the whole everything was really tasty. Pool - 2 pools and a bubble pool. No issue getting a sun lounger with the exception of some german families doing what they do best with the towels. Local area - the town was 5 mins walk away and it was much bigger than we expected which was a lovely surprise, tons of restaurants, bars and shops. Staff - honestly the friendliest staff we've ever had and we've travelled a lot, from the waitresses at dinner to receptionists to the bar staff - all so nice and helpful. Spa - we had a massage and it was very relaxing. It's a shame you have to pay 25 euros per person to use the spa facilities as this should really be included with massages etc. Only negative is that it isn't a sandy beach and the stones can be hard to walk on. We had beach shoes from croatia which helped but I can see why people wouldn't like the beach. Air con leaked a lot on the floor and even when we mentioned it they didn't do anything about it which can be dangerous if you slip. Don't take the cheap car hire in the hotel, go via your rep. Our car was falling apart and the battery died while out on a trip. £40 - get what you pay for! I'd say that it is worth taking into consideration the travel time to Thassos if going for a week. We live in London and it was 9 hours door to door which is a long time compared to spain for example.

Lovely hotel, the ferry trip becomes part of the holiday. The hotel is faultless, all staff very accommodating. The local town is less than a 10 minute walk with plenty of restaurants, shops etc. Always beds around the pool and beach. Food is nice with good variety. views from the hotel are unbeatable especially as the sun is going down. Will be back. Dates haven't been released on Tui yet for next year but will be hoping to come back!

We enjoyed our stay during Easter holiday. There was lunch for Easter with live music. Friendly staff, clean rooms and hotel areas, good food in the restaurant. I love the smell of the fresh herbs in the gardens of the hotel. I was only disappointed that there is no kettle in the rooms.

A nice hotel but not great and not 4 star. Good points: Food was varied and tasty Staff were friendly, especially Emillia who greats you for each meal. Housekeeping was good, rooms and towels cleaned and changed daily. Hotel grounds were lovely Grounds were clean and well maintained. Bad points: Online checking did not work, which is frustrating after a long day. Room booked was a sea view, but ours was a side sea view through the neighbours balcony, we looked straight at a car park. No entertainment, it was all a bit boring. Rubbish and dirty laundry left outside our room all night. No kettle in the room. Pool was unwelcoming. Beach was a stone beach. Beds are low quality.

Very nice place, everything was perfect, the kitchen, personal, water in the pool and the sea, very nice people in the reception,. It was very clean, change the towel every day, in the hotel has a property park, and place for children

This is a really nice place to stay with good facilities and very friendly staff. The only criticisms I have are: 1. I don’t think you should have to pay extra for the room safe (2€ per day). It’s already in the room, so why not just give you the key! 2. The shower divert valve in our room was poorly designed/adjusted so that we only had a dribble through the rose and poor temperature control. This might just have been the one in our room though? 3. The evening entertainment wasn’t great. Not sure if it’s because it was the end of the season? 4. We went half board, so if you’re going for 2 weeks, the menu gets a bit monotonous, especially the desserts. Think this would mainly apply to people going from Mcr? Suggestions: 1. Bring a kettle if you want for hot drinks in your room. 2. Go for block 2 (first floor) if you want a lovely sea view (we had room 2119). 3. As others have said, bring beach shoes for paddling as beach is pebbly. 4. Book the Southern Delights cruise with the Tui rep - it’s a great day out! 5. Visit the local supermarket (5 mins walk) if you want cheap drinks/snacks in your room. I’m sure you’ll have a great time here!

The hotel is an hour’s drive from Keramoti port. Upon arrival, we were immediately checked into the room, although we arrived before 15:00. We went to the beach, the beach is clean, sun beds are free for hotel guests, there were always enough places. To enter the sea, I recommend buying special shoes, since the entrance to the sea is rocky, but there is a pier. Drinks can be ordered at the beach for an additional fee. We had half board, a wide variety of dishes for breakfast and dinner, the waiters work perfectly. The room is cozy and clean. I would have added a kettle and a couple of tea/coffee bags to the room, and there was not enough shelf in the shower for shower accessories, but otherwise everything you need is in the room. There is no animation per se in the hotel, but there was live music a couple of times a week. For us personally, this was more of a plus than a minus, as it is pleasant to enjoy the silence in the evening. The hotel is a 5-minute walk from a supermarket and the town of Potos with shops and cafes. We really enjoyed our stay at Alexandra Beach. Thank you for your hospitality!
