Hotel is located at the best place in Valletta. The room was very clean and quiet. The breakfast was very good and staff is very friendly. If you have any questions, can call the staff any time. Location permitting to travel anywhere in Malta and you can make night walks.

So I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights in June, The hotel itself is above a Starbucks. In fact the front of house staff are the servers at Starbucks, though they seemed to do a decent job. The rooms were good and the pricing was fair. There is a good size smart TV, excellent shower bathroom and ample storage space. A travel iron and board is supplied also. The air conditioning which is all important was excellent. If I have any complaints about the room, its the staff did not replenish things like bottled water, if used which to me seems a bit miserly for a boutique hotel. The cleaning carried out by the housekeeping staff was adequate but nothing more. My biggest issue which again isn't the end of the world if the breakfast. Its described on booking as a 'good breakfast'. So that may be the case if your idea of a good breakfast is Starbucks pastries, granola pot and coffee. I'd prefer a proper continental breakfast buffet, or something cooked. This sadly isn't an option. I'ts okay for a day, but after 2 or 3 you find yourself just getting coffee and water and going off site for morning sustenance. All in all though it's a good hotel. The location is excellent. I'd probably look elsewhere though if I was returning there.

We had a wonderful experience at Melior Boutique Hotel. This lovely hotel is located right in the heart of Valletta, being the perfect spot to enjoy the city's culture, history and beauty. Upon arrival we where greeted by one of the staff members who was very helpful and polite she explained how everything works and also showed us up to our room. Once we walked in the room we where totally fascinated! The room was super modern, very spacious, and spotlessly clean. Very well equipped with tea and coffee making facilities, bathrobes, slippers , toiletries, iron board , it literally had it all! Breakfast was served at Starbucks Reserve which is located right below the property . You also have an option to get you breakfast brought to your room. Wide selection of breakfast items to choose from which where all super delicious too!! There was absolutely nothing to fault at The Melior Boutique Hotel as everything was top notch!Really wished I could have stayed there longer ! So will definitely be returning very soon as our experience was perfect! ❤️

Great stay in the best part of Valletta Our stay at the Melior was a great one and will definitely recommend it to anyone staying in Valletta. We were sent an automated check-in code a day before through *********** by the hotel which is located inside the Starbuck Reserve. When we arrived, we were greeted by Isis, the hotel representative who was very nice, friendly and welcoming! She took us up to our room and explained that the code unlocks our room, hotel elevator and main entrance in the evenings. With the check-in letter and a few recommendations on what to do in Valletta, we were also given two tokens to a free cocktail at Aki! Our room was modern and had all the amenities one could need (mini fridge, coffee machine etc..). The tv also had pre installed Netflix and YouTube which was an extremely nice touch! We forgot our phone chargers and found out that there are two wireless charging pads on each of the bedside tables... bathrooms had all amenities like shampoo, body wash, conditioner and even toothbrushes with toothpaste. Everything was thought out for. We heard a few mixed opinions about breakfast but don't know what the fuss was about as it exceeded our expectations. You are given a door hanger (similar to the make my room ones) with all the breakfast options. You simply fill it in the night before and indicate what time you want your breakfast. You can choose a Savoy option, pastry option, granola with yoghurt, fresh fruit, juice, coffee and water (we couldn't finish it all). It also came on little trays with legs that are perfect for enjoying breakfast in bed. We would definitely stay here again!

Melior Boutique Hotel is the perfect place to stay when visiting Malta! Perfectly located in the heart of Valletta a stone throw away from the main tourist attractions, restaurants and various shops. The room was luxurious and perfectly clean, staff were friendly and very helpful! Breakfast is uniquely served in the Starbucks Reserve bar located just beneath the hotel. The Reserve Bar was also a perfect place to relax and have some cocktails in the evening, will surely visit again! I highly recommend staying at the Melior when visiting Malta!

I spend around 300 days a year in hotels and my stay at the Melior wins the distinction of being the worst stay in the last 5 years. That is quite the award! Firstly, some background. The Melior sits above an extremely busy Starbucks…and I learned that the same company operates both the hotel and the Starbucks. The company has decided to try to save as much money as possible by having Starbucks staff try to run a hotel on the side of running the Starbucks. The results are truly awful. This isn’t the fault of the hard working staff…who were all very nice...but rather the fault of the greedy hotel owners who have tried to cut costs to an absolute minimum both in staffing and in the quality of the hotel build. So…now the details of the nightmare of the stay here: Things start to go wrong from the minute you arrive. There is no reception, just a digital touchscreen terminal standing next to where people queue to order their Starbucks coffee. You need to have a QR code to scan at the terminal to get your room key. Unfortunately, they never sent me a QR code, just an email through the hotel booking app I used, telling me the room number. No one has obviously bothered to check if the most popular hotel app emails include QR codes. So, I then spent the next 30 minutes calling their “24 hour helpline” number that just rang out and no one answered. Clearly someone was taking their Sunday off. I wasn’t the only person either waiting around…another two guys had the same problem…and I have seen other reviews mentioning this. So why haven’t they fixed this enormous issue? After 30 minutes of unsuccessfully calling the hotel helpline, in exasperation I asked a starbucks barrista if he had anything to do with the hotel and he gave me a key….this was after he had watched me stand by the checkin machine for 30 minutes! Obviously this isn’t his main responsibility…but rather just terrible operations from the hotel. I was “upgraded” to a loft room (actually their most expensive room) that looks out over one of the main pedestrian streets in Valletta. The room was just so insanely noisy that sleep is impossible. The windows have zero soundproofing…in fact there are open gaps between the window and their frames…and so for literally 24 hours a day you are assaulted with noise from the café tables on the street, hundreds of pedestrians during the day, drunken people at night, and then garbage and delivery trunks at all hours through the night. Sleep is truly impossible. You might as well sleep on the street itself. Clearly the hotel hasn’t bothered to spend the money on the normal soundproofing windows that every other hotel I have stayed in in Valletta has. And that’s just the noise from the front of the room. From the back of the room you are blasted with loud music from the Starbucks below as there is an atrium with no floor separating you from the café below…and that music is played until Starbucks closes at midnight. The room itself was also very poorl

Excellent stay in this brand new hotel. Lovely architecture and blend of old and new decor. The location is excellent close to all shops and restaurants. You cannot stay in a better place if you want to be in the heart of Valletta. Great for a good coffee by Starbucks from within the hotel. The room has all the comforts that one needs. Will be back for sure.

We have stayed in this superb Hotel bang in the epicentre of the historical Maltese capital, the bestest location I would say. The staff is extraordinarily gentle, sweet and hospitable. The room was pristinely spotless and clean. A definitely go-back place where you can enjoy the wonders of the historical capital within walking distance to all the cultural spots and amazing restaurants in Valletta. Keep up the good service. I highly recommend...
