Kids enjoyed a lot.

The location is good and the hotel is just fine. Need some renovation around the path leading to beach. Many opt for this location for ease of access to beaches, if that is not maintained it will lead to disappointment. The SPA is not per the expectation and the maintenance of the spa is very bad. Food is above average. The buffet breakfast is fine but lacks variety for those staying longer. Overall it was a good experience. The attender at the pool Mr. Babu is very good, he should be awarded for his fine service. Overall the hotel staff are polite and well mannered and hear to our concerns.

My mother and I had a truly memorable stay at Gateway Varkala. The warmth, genuine care, and exceptional hospitality extended by the entire team will remain with us for a long time. A very special thank you to Mithila and her team for welcoming both of us with so much warmth and affection. They made us feel at home from the moment we arrived, and their thoughtful service made our stay even more special. The property itself is absolutely beautiful. We especially loved the elegant layout of the reception and lounge areas, which create a calm and welcoming atmosphere. The traditional cultural performance during hi-tea was a delightful experience and added a wonderful local touch to our stay. The breakfast spread was excellent, with a wide variety of delicious options. A special mention to Gokul and the restaurant team for their attentive service and hospitality throughout our meals. What impressed us the most was the quality of the food—even the fried dishes were light, fresh, and not oily, which reflects the care taken in food preparation. Thank you once again to the entire Gateway Varkala team for making our stay so memorable. We look forward to returning and creating many more wonderful memories.

Beautiful resort, well-maintained with superb helpful staff. Location is 5mins from the cliff by auto. Room was exquisite as was breakfast and hi-tea. There is a spa on-site. Mr. Sudeep and all front office staff were so kind and made my stay comfortable. Definitely visiting again with my parents next time!

I would like to share my feedback regarding my stay at your property. Having stayed at Taj Malabar in Kochi and the Taj property in Munnar during this trip, I must say that this property has not met the standards I have come to expect from the Taj brand. The overall cleanliness has been disappointing, and the upkeep of the property does not reflect the premium experience associated with Taj Hotels. As a guest who has always appreciated the exceptional hospitality and attention to detail at other Taj properties, this experience has been quite disappointing. I hope this feedback is taken constructively and that the necessary improvements are made so future guests can enjoy the level of quality and service that Taj is known for.

Location is very good near south cliff sea and rooms were very good and spacious . Really this property was value for money as th property location ,ambience ,cleanliness,amenities and service was upto th mark and staff ,manager all were very helpful in nature specially Sudip sir was very good in every thing after chq out also he guided us Thanks Gateway varkala for your hospitality and everything

We had an amazing stay at Taj Gateway. The food was delicious, and the hospitality extended by the entire team was truly outstanding. A special thanks to Mr. Sudeep for his exceptional support and thoughtful guidance in helping us plan our visit to the Padmanabhaswamy Temple. His assistance made our darshan smooth, quick, and truly memorable. Very good facilities, and very cooperative staff they are very kind to us , and overall it's a enjoyable and joyfull stay at gateway varkala .

Loved the location , the hotel staff was very warm and looked after us so well . Krishna and her other colleagues really looked after us as if we were a part of their family . Our 80 year old mom was looked after and attended to with so much love when we stepped out in the evening towards the beautiful cliffs .The food served at the dining room was so delicious. And the service excellent. We were sent Holi goodies and were really pampered by the wonderful staff I had taken everyone’s names but misplaced that pc of paper . So Thank you to each one of you for taking care of us . A must visit hotel .
