從維也納出城向西，進入被稱為“維也納森林”的地區，爬上高高的山頂，到達了這座酒店。我看到有很多遊客批評酒店的設施陳舊，是的，我從酒店的介紹中看到，這座酒店是茜茜公主的丈夫弗朗茨皇帝為他的母親蘇菲皇太后修建的度假別墅，這點從酒店的名稱sophien可以看出來。 酒店是木製的，古色古香。和石頭房屋的古建築比起來不容易更新，我覺得這不是什麼大問題，從酒店門口向山下眺望，可以俯瞰維也納全景，特別是夜裡，天上星空燦爛，山下燈火輝煌，很有感覺。缺點是離市中心有些遠了，交通不便，除非你是開車的旅行者。
