The hotel is an InterContinental brand. It doesn't feel like a 17-year-old new building, it may be a renovation. The hotel is close to the highway. The double rooms are on the highway side. If you are afraid of noise, you can book a twin room. The service was really not good. A Mexican woman at the front desk answered everything first. Sorry, this is not possible. It is very blunt. Spent an overnight in this fabulous, luxury hotel with all the elegant amenities one would expect in an expensive New York hotel. World class art in the lobby made the entrance to the hotel an eye-popping beginning to stay. Room was exceptionally comfortable and noise free in spite of being downtown and on a corner. Bed linens were impeccable and soft, bathtub was big enough for two, staff were kind and friendly. The Artisan Restaurant downstairs in the hotel for dinner was exceptional and Delmar breakfast was served there in the morning which was a delight. I would highly recommend this venue to anyone wanting a resort like experience without having to travel far to achieve the Zen like feeling!

I stayed for one night in mid September. Let me say the good thing first. Front desk is very friendly, the room is big, the bedsheet is clean. And the best is the hot water is abundant and strong, so I had a wonderful shower. However, the place is beat down. The service is completely barebone. One of the two elevators was broken during my stay. And it is highly secured. Cannot get in without card key 7/24. If you are a man or a group of men traveling rough, it is a place. The concern is that there are always a group of people hanging around in the front door, around the parking lot. And it seems some occupants are with little kids. Not sure if the motel is rented out for longer term under government programs. The surrounding areas have a number of government agencies. If you travel as a family, this definitely not your choice.

Very sad representation of sheraton. Got a room, got in. Unpacked. After some time went to heat some water for tea and the cold water leveler did not work. It was NOT attached to the whole faucet. That means its only scorching hot water for face and hand washing and nothing else. No tea no water. I called to the front desk. The young lady said ” oh yeah, its not broken you just have to wiggle it the right way”. I said sure hung up amd went to wiggle it some. After carefully playing with the cold water leveler bending down under the sink to try to see whats really up I decided thats not ok. I went back to calling front desk again. Nobody picked up. I called again. Finally a nice gentleman picks up. I explain the whole sotry again from the start he says he will send a maintanance man to check. 10-15 minutes passes, nobody comes. Im tired, hungry, dirty, cranky so is my travel buddy. I grab my keycard. I go downstairs. I meet that nice gentleman and explain the issue and ask for a new room. He gives me the new room card. I go up, start repacking my suitcases to move. Mid packing maintanance man shows up, suprised there is an issue. He grabs the leveler and says ” oh ok, its broken” no sh*t. We move to new room. Smells nasty, like somebody was smoking in it for the past week 24/7. I let it go. I turn the water on and the cold water was not cold it was at best luke warm...yes i had to drink it as there were no stores around so had to make do with what i had. The sheets were nasty, please take a look at the ”comforter/blanket” it will speak for itself. Sheraton aint the same.. pitty

We had an error on our reservation that was our fault...mistakes happen. When we realized our error, I called the general manager and she was so helpful in putting everything right for us. She really went out of her way to put the customer experience first and made sure that we enjoyed our time in the Hartford area. Great job and thank you to everyone at the Courtyard Hartford Farmington!

It is a hotel that I would definitely like to use again. I was tired and came home, and I was able to relax with coffee. The staff is relatively friendly. The surrounding environment is wonderful.
