When we arrived at the Grosvenor palm court for our Sunday carvery they had messed up our timings on our booking so our table wasn’t ready for us. We had booked for 7pm however they had us down for 7:30pm and the women who greeted us(I think she was the manager) made us feel as though it was our fault, so we showed our email saying it was 7pm when she then eventually apologised. She said to sit on the sofas nearby whilst they tried to sort something out, and she said they would come and take a drinks order, however no one came to take our order and we were sat waiting. Eventually they found a table for us near the carvery which was fine, but a bit out of the atmosphere. When seated, no one came over to us to take a drinks order for a long time or to order any food. When our drinks order was taken and finally arrived, the waiter spilt a whole pint of beer over one of our guests, soaking the chair and his shirt. The waiter was very apologetic and thanked us for making a joke of the situation and promised to take the drinks off the bill. We then had to ask what to do about the roast, and whether to go and help ourselves etc. or to wait for a plate to come to us as no one explained this to us. The food was nice, perhaps the veg a bit cold but overall it was a lovely meal. During this time the service was shocking, no one asked us for anymore drinks, no one asked if we were happy with the meal, no one asked if we wanted the bill etc. when we went up to pay the bill there were no drinks taken off it. We questioned whether to raise this or not but we did. This was where we were told by our waiter that the manager didn’t “see the situation in the same light” and didn’t think it was worthy of any drinks being removed despite a drink being poured all over one of us. Then, when raised with the manager (we think) she was so rude, she came over saying how would they know to take any money off the bill, despite this being a different comment to previously. And she then said “what do you want removing” and “I don’t know what you want us to do” and “I’m not removing everything because only 1 of ten of you got a drink spilt on them!” This was so embarrassing as people around us listened in, and was extremely rude of a manager especially. Overall what they took off didn’t even cover the service charge which we later noticed they had the cheek to keep on the bill!

I recently had my wedding at the Ramada. The whole day was wonderful, the staff were very efficient and nothing was too much trouble! The food was fantastic and everyone was raving about it. Megan, the wedding coordinator was so attentive, with myself, with the guests, and especially with the staff. Watching her have a debrief with all staff involved and them all have a group hug, ensuring all staff was happy before, during and after the wedding really touched me. They worked together flawlessly and really showcased how comfortable they were, definitely a work family. During the day, we had to push our food back by an hour, and everything was hot and fresh when it did come out. Was such a big wedding, I worried it may be too much or strain them, but all staff throughout worked with a smile on their face, kindness in their manners and showed they were enjoying themselves too. The DJ was so good, getting all up and involved, ensuring we all danced the night away!! Couldn't recommend the Wrexham team enough!!

If on occasion you visit Wales and for some reason you go to Wrexham; One of the best hotels you can find is perhaps the Rossett Hall. The staff is wonderful, very friendly and always attentive to your needs. They have an attached restaurant that you will surely like. I 100% recommend that you make your reservation including the Breakfast service, because it is wonderful! As for its location, it is essential that you take a taxi from the central station and buses, because, although you can take a bus to get there, the journey is very long since the bus makes too many stops. Without a doubt, if you are a traveler who appreciates silence and tranquility, this hotel is undoubtedly for you!

The hotel location was amazing, 2 minutes walk from the station, about 5 minutes to the city.Every other day we requested to have our room cleaned but all they did was change the towels and filled up the coffee bar. Never cleaned the bathroom or changed the beddings. The room was located on the 3th floor where was not lift from the 2nd floor. We had to deal with the cigarette smells coming from the room next to ours. Kept on complaining about but no changes. The breakfast and dinner was good, staff was very friendly and always welcoming you with a smile.

Free parking - big plus. We had booked B&B. With FREE continental breakfast @ £45 per night for two. Welcomed by contractors outside the hotel who were very hospitable, although busy emptying their van........is the hotel fit for access we thought.....we were assured it would be completed tonight?? What would be completed tonight?? Christmas decorations & decorators had arrived from the Black Country and what a job they did. (see my photo taken during dinner) A welcoming entrance into the modern, newly carpeted, well lit, open bar. Onward into the reception area and dining room where we were greeted by the owner?? and a member of the reception staff, who was very professional and gave us all the information we required about the hotel and escorted us to our room. A new grey carpet followed us right up to our room and beyond. A very clean, warm and comfortable bedroom. Ensuite with all the home comforts, including tea, coffee, TV, comfortable warm bed, etc. We had intended going out for a meal but due the long day decided to check the menu for an evening meal in and it was too good to miss. The draught beer was exceptional as was the wine of our choice for the dinner. Our dinner choice was fresh, well presented and as tasty as any I have ever tasted in my lifetime.. What's more it was delicious. How could we fault this hotel, we couldn't, best value for money and in a thriving village, Glyn Ceiriog. Must be amazing in the summer.....for us it was a cold damp and dreary night, but thoroughly enjoyable. We highly recommended this hotel. As a well known actor and diplomat said ”We'll be back” or was it ””I'll be back? Thank you so much.

I have stayed here a few times the rooms are ok, a little dated not 5 star but they dont claim to be. Can be a bit noisy only to be expected in the city centre. The service was good, nice shower and the custard cream biscuits a real bonus! Overall very nice.
