1. The quilt and pillow reeked of cigarette smoke; I wondered if they hadn't been changed. There was also a cigarette box left by a previous guest on the bedside table, which hadn't been cleaned. 2. The most unbearable thing was the abysmal soundproofing. It felt like it wasn't made of concrete. The sound of people talking in the room across the street, snoring next door, the toilet flushing next door, water dripping from somewhere on the ceiling (probably the upper drain pipe), footsteps in the room above (it felt like it was vibrating right above your head), and even early morning conversations in the hallway (which was tolerated by customers, as the hotel's own cleaning staff were also loud). The noise was constant. 3. The water pressure was excessive. The shower was pleasant, but the sink splashed easily. The water temperature was inconsistent, fluctuating between hot and cold. 4. For a hotel like this, the sheer number of stairs doesn't consider guests with luggage: there are high stairs before entering the lobby, stairs after entering the lobby to the elevator, and stairs again when entering the lobby from the basement garage.

The hotel is beyond expectations. It is very quiet, clean and sanitary. The rooms are smart and the layout is comfortable. There is also a pick-up and drop-off service. It feels like you have stolen half a day's leisure.
