Mercure Hotel (Zhongshan Road Pedestrian Street Seaview)

The room was excellent, and the sea view from the sea-facing room was absolutely stunning! The front desk service was superb. I highly recommend this hotel. It's very close to the First Wharf, Eighth Market, and Zhongshan Road. Personally, I'd give it a perfect 10/10. The young lady at the front desk was very attentive, and the manager was extremely welcoming, recommending great places to eat, drink, and have fun nearby. I'll definitely stay here again if I get the chance.

The hotel was very clean, and it's super close to Ba Shi (Eighth Market) and Zhongshan Road Walking Street, all within walking distance. Downstairs, you can also find shared electric scooters and bikes to rent. The concierge service was excellent, and when I realized I booked at a higher price, the hotel proactively refunded the difference. Thumbs up!

1. The low floor felt very oppressive. 2. The bathroom was rundown, and there was a step at the entrance. No wonder there isn't a single bathroom photo in their official pictures. 3. The mattress was too soft; even someone weighing 100 jin (approx. 110 lbs) sitting on the edge would cause such a deep dent. 4. The bedside power outlet was too loose, and my charging head kept falling out. The TV also had no signal. A technician came to fix it at night, but the next day it still had no signal. I called the technician again, and he said it required their specialized remote control, and the one in the room wouldn't work. Seriously? Mercure isn't considered a low-end brand within Huazhu, is it? For this price point, these facilities are quite outrageous.

The service was great, and the room facilities were pretty good. The hairdryer was excellent, and the view was also beautiful. The bed was very comfortable and soft, and the air conditioning worked perfectly.

The hotel is on a high floor with great views. It's super convenient to get around, and there are plenty of food, drink, and entertainment options nearby. Highly recommend it!

I chose the Seaview Meiju Hotel on Zhongshan Road Pedestrian Street for my trip to Xiamen, and my stay was absolutely perfect – I highly recommend it! First off, the location is superb. The hotel is situated on Lujiang Road in Siming District, right next to Zhongshan Road Pedestrian Street and the ferry terminal, making it incredibly close to Gulangyu Island. Getting around is extremely convenient; attractions like Xiamen University and Nanputuo Temple are just a short drive away, saving both time and effort. Secondly, the sea view is magnificent. I stayed in a sea-view room, and opening the window revealed stunning views of Gulangyu Island and the vast sea directly opposite. The sunset and night views, especially, were captivating, adding a unique romantic touch to my trip. Furthermore, the hotel facilities are complete and the hygiene is excellent. The room was clean and tidy, the bedding was soft, and the bathroom facilities were comprehensive with good water pressure. They even provided a complimentary laundry room, which was a thoughtful touch. The breakfast selection was rich, a mix of Chinese and Western dishes, and tasted great. Finally, the service was exceptionally attentive. The front desk staff were warm and considerate, patiently answering my questions during check-in and thoughtfully providing a guide to nearby attractions and dining spots. They even gave me some fruit when I left, making me feel truly at home. Overall, the value for money is excellent, and I will definitely choose this hotel again when I visit Xiamen. Five-star rating!

The location is fantastic, right downstairs is Zhongshan Road Pedestrian Street. The room was clean and tidy, and the amenities were complete. What's more, they even reimbursed the parking fee. It was a perfect stay!

The environment is great and the facilities are excellent. The sofa is comfortable, and the bed is decent, although the pillows are a bit too soft. Overall, the service is very good.

The lobby decor was a bit inconvenient, but the room itself was great, fully equipped with excellent facilities. The view was absolutely beautiful, and the front desk staff provided excellent service.
