But this time, the Hampton by Hilton Xiamen City Plaza truly made me look good in front of my client! After checking out, my client specifically gave feedback saying the experience was superb, so I absolutely had to leave a heartfelt five-star review. First off, the location is truly unbeatable. It's right next to City Plaza, and Metro Line 3 is just outside, making trips to the airport and high-speed rail station very quick. This was super convenient for my client's business meetings and seeing partners. My client particularly praised the service, saying the front desk staff were extremely professional and enthusiastic from check-in to check-out, and very efficient. Especially when checking out and pressed for time, the front desk proactively guided them on how to get an electronic invoice, which was processed almost instantly. This kind of efficiency is a huge plus for business travelers. My client also mentioned that the hotel has robot food delivery, which they found quite smart. Furthermore, the room was very comfortable, maintaining Hampton's consistent quality. The mattress was just right—neither too soft nor too hard—ensuring a good night's sleep, and the room was spotlessly clean. My client was also very satisfied with the breakfast, which offered a rich variety, including local Xiamen specialties. All in all, this hospitality experience was very successful. The hotel exceeded my client's expectations in terms of facilities, location, and service. In the future, for any business接待 or travel needs, this will definitely be my top choice! I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Xiamen for business or leisure!"

It's located in the Binhai North area, not a heavily touristy spot, but rather a 'rich' neighborhood known mostly to long-term Xiamen residents. There are many cafes and light music bars. It perfectly suited my foreign friend's needs, and the area is full of expats, though admittedly fewer than in previous years. My clients used to specifically request this hotel; I heard it was one of the first in Xiamen to host foreign guests. The hotel's front desk staff all spoke excellent English. The hotel itself had a charming 90s European/American film vibe, which I unfortunately forgot to photograph."

"It's been so long since a hotel made us want to write a review even before checking out, haha! A special thanks to Pearl Cheng, the Guest Relations Manager, for reserving our room, arranging the anniversary setup, and providing so many thoughtful services. We chose this hotel because we've always had a great impression of Langham in Guangzhou and Hong Kong. So, whenever we travel and there's a Langham in the city, we always allocate two nights to stay there. This time, for our short holiday in Xiamen, we started with Langham as well. The hotel facilities are very well-maintained, and the view from the window is spectacular. The Bak Kut Teh and Satay Noodles (p5) for breakfast were excellent. I had a feeling they would offer Xiamen specialties since the Langham in Guangdong had amazing 'cheong fun' (rice noodle rolls), and I was right – they were fantastic. The offerings at the cafe and lounge also left a deep impression; it was very relaxing to sit there in the afternoon. Since it was our anniversary, Manager Cheng left us a cake (p1) and thoughtfully noticed that we arrived late on the first day, suggesting they prepare it for us on the second day instead. The souvenir she prepared was also exquisite. Room service (p2) was very fast, and the food was exceptionally good. On the second night, there was a continuous buzzing sound in the bathroom. We reported it, and a technician arrived very quickly. He was very professional, troubleshooting the issue by turning off and on various devices like the air conditioning, quickly pinpointing and fixing the problem. Before leaving, he even adjusted the air conditioning back to its original temperature – such attention to detail, very reassuring. Another detail: the accompanying staff member on duty offered to change our room immediately if the issue couldn't be resolved quickly, and then move our luggage the next day so as not to disturb our rest. This kind of service is truly unheard of in other hotels; I genuinely commend them. The marble in the bathroom looked like it was of excellent quality. The only minor flaw was that it would have been even better if the towels weren't yellowish. Overall, this hotel definitely added a positive impression to my experience in Xiamen. I regret not staying here last time, haha! Both the initial contact and follow-ups were very prompt. What truly impressed me was that when I told Manager Cheng on the phone that I would definitely write a detailed positive review, she was more concerned about any issues I might have experienced rather than the review itself. It's truly hard not to admire that. I hope the hotel continues to thrive, and I look forward to seeing you again on my next visit to Xiamen."

"The shower water is completely blocked. The room corridor is outside the shower room. I can only take a 3-minute shower after taking off my clothes in the middle of the night, otherwise the dirty shower water will spread throughout the room. The front desk argued with me, saying that the water flows slowly because I live on a high floor. There are five floors in total. I live on the second floor and it is called a high floor? The photo was taken 10 minutes after taking a shower. The slippers are still floating. The total height of the floor full of water is estimated to be only 3-4 cm. To summarize this hotel: 1. The hotel is located in a remote area. There are several fixed barbecue stalls and garbage dumps at the door. The environment feels dirty. 2. The glass in the hotel lobby is covered with a layer of dust. It feels that they don’t pay attention to hygiene. 3. The front desk wears casual clothes, which feels very casual. 4. It’s very unpleasant to take off clothes in the middle of the night and only take a 3-minute shower. I complained to the front desk but they made all kinds of excuses. Can’t they ask the cleaning lady to improve next time? Giving a bad review means I won’t come next time. I just slept and left. There are not so many things to find a quick hotel."
