"I really liked my stay there. I do think it may be harder for foreigners to stay here compared to possibly other options as most workers do not speak English. I found it quite hard to communicate. However, I do recommend it and I personally would stay again. Especially as we overcame the challenges of communication and I was easily able to work with the staff. The bathroom and bed are amazing and I would love to use them again. The airport is only 10 yen away by taxi which is amazing and I honestly would come again.  I added two photos. One of my breakfast and another of the room while I was watching tv."

"Hotel may be a bit dated, but location was superb and excellent! Right in the midst of Zhongshan Road, surrounded by eateries and shopping. Staff was efficient, and the best surprise was that they allowed us a late checkout at 2pm because our flight was at 5.30pm. Truly appreciative of this gesture. Breakast is simple. But there are lots of affordable and nice food in the vicinity, so not an issue."

"This isn't my first stay here; whether for business or personal trips to Xiamen, I almost always choose the Kempinski. The location is convenient, both within the city and for getting around. What I find best is how incredibly smooth the check-in process is at the front desk – there's practically never any waiting. For both travel and business trips, a seamless check-in right after arriving at the airport is the perfect start to a great experience. Beyond the silky-smooth check-in, let's talk about the stay itself. The hotel offers both firm and soft beds, catering to more guests, which I appreciate. The pool is fantastic; if you want to get a proper swim in, it fully delivers. The breakfast, facilities, and everything else truly meet the hotel's positioning. I believe everyone has certain expectations for different hotel standards when booking, so I won't belabor the point (the same goes for breakfast). Essentially, anything you'd expect, they have, and it's all complete. Finally, a word about the staff: friendly, appropriate, and prompt. I think these points alone are reason enough to choose this place. Oh, I almost forgot to mention, the view from the window is also satisfying! ✌️"

"I have to give this hotel a huge thumbs up! As soon as I got out of the car, a staff member immediately offered to help with my luggage and brought it all the way to my room. He even thoughtfully reminded me of the WiFi password and breakfast times. The room was incredibly clean, so much so that I felt comfortable walking barefoot on the floor, and the bedding was pristine, giving me complete peace of mind. The hotel's location is perfect – central yet quiet, so I had absolutely no noise disturbing me at night. All the facilities are fully functional and well-maintained. The value for money is just excellent!"

"The location is fantastic, right by Yuandang Lake, making it incredibly convenient to get around. The front desk even upgraded me to a room on the 7th floor with a great view. Honestly, I wasn't originally planning on staying here because I was worried that, being an older hotel, the facilities might be outdated and uncomfortable. But my friends in Xiamen strongly recommended it. The room was clean and tidy, although the bathroom was a bit old-fashioned with a bathtub. However, it had a rain shower head with good water pressure. The toilet also showed its age, but for a hotel in this price range, it really exceeded my expectations. The biggest surprise was the Napoleon pastry at their cafe. It was crispy, nutty, not too sweet, and not greasy. I actually think it's better than the one at Lady M in Shanghai. I'd definitely consider staying here again on my next trip to Xiamen."

"The staff were very friendly and kind. One memorable moment was when I bumped into a reception staff member at the laundry area. She noticed that I was having trouble operating the washing machine. Even though I could tell she had already ended her shift, she still took the time to help me. She really didn’t have to, and I’m very grateful for her kindness. However, there were a couple of issues during my stay. On the first day, I could smell cigarette smoke in my room, which was quite unpleasant. In addition, the room heater didn’t seem to work properly. Even after switching it to heating mode, it continued to blow cold air instead of warm air. Overall, the staff’s hospitality was excellent, but I hope the hotel can improve on room maintenance and cleanliness to make the stay more comfortable."

"We arrived a bit early for check-in, but the front desk staff was very accommodating and processed our request. They even helped us switch rooms when the initial one wasn't suitable, which we really appreciated. The room was spacious, and the bedding was incredibly soft. We had a fantastic view of Gulangyu Island right across the water. All five of us loved it and are already looking forward to our next stay! I forgot to take pictures of the room, only of the view across the water."

"I came to Xiamen for New Year's Eve and specifically chose to stay near Zhongshan Road. It's in a bustling area, and it gets really lively at night. I especially loved exploring the surroundings. The hotel itself is quite quiet, and the layout is good. They have a gym, laundry room, and a book bar. There are also free drinks in the fridge. The front desk staff were very helpful, even recommending places to visit nearby. Housekeeping cleans the rooms daily, and the cleanliness is quite good! 👏👏👏👏"

It's tucked away in a quiet spot but still close to Longtou Road, where all the restaurants are, and attractions like Sunlight Rock and Shuzhuang Garden. We stayed in Building 9, which was very peaceful. It hardly felt like the bustling National Day holiday, but as soon as we stepped out of the hotel, we were met with throngs of people – truly two different worlds! The hotel has a private back exit for guests that leads to a quiet beach with very few people. The kids absolutely loved it, braving the heat and strong sun for over two hours, catching several small crabs. The hotel used to be a government retreat and is now open to the public. While the facilities and decor are a bit dated, you can tell the original fixtures are still of good quality. The room even came with tea ceremony tools, and the kids had a blast playing tea master – the Dahongpao tea was delicious. The hotel service is outstanding. They offer exclusive shuttle transfers from the ferry terminal to the hotel when you arrive and depart. If you're heading straight to the ferry after sightseeing, you can arrange a time with the hotel, and they'll deliver your luggage to the terminal, allowing you to enjoy your day worry-free. The staff are also incredibly helpful; knowing the kids wanted to play on the beach, they even brought sand-digging tools. When we encountered a staff member on the road and asked for directions to the beach, he simply walked us all the way there. We genuinely loved this hotel and highly recommend it.

The food was great, with a mix of Western and Chinese options that were both delicious and satisfying. The location is convenient, especially if you're attending events at the Xiamen International Conference and Exhibition Center, and getting around the area is easy. Overall, a smooth and enjoyable stay. Everything was handled with care. U can wait for online car booking car or taxi at the Zhongshan Road, less than 50 meter from hotel lift lobby. The hotel lift lobby is located along Zhongshan Road Pedestrian Street, make it very convenient for us to go down at night and back anytime especially after buying lots of items and lazy to carry, can bring them up to the hotel room and go down to shop again. Many popular attractions and local food options are just within walking distance. The room was huge, clean, comfortable, and well maintained. Housekeeping did a good job, and the room provided everything needed for a comfortable stay. Most important is hotel allow guest to turn on either the aircon or heater during winter season. Despite being located in a busy area, the room was quiet and allowed for good rest at night. The room come with window as i was worried some rooms in other hotel without window and worse not allow to turn on aircon during winter... The reception staff were very friendly, helpful, and polite. They were responsive to requests and made the stay smooth and hassle-free. Check-in and check-out were efficient. Overall, this hotel offers great value for money with its prime location, cleanliness, and good service. I would definitely recommend Thian Sian Hotel to anyone visiting Xiamen and would be happy to stay here again.
