I recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel G Yangon, and I must say it exceeded all my expectations! From the moment I stepped into the lobby, I was greeted with warm smiles and exceptional hospitality that set the tone for my entire visit. First and foremost, the fitness center is absolutely fantastic. As someone who tries to maintain my workout routine while traveling, I was thoroughly impressed by the state-of-the-art gym facilities. The equipment is modern, well-maintained, and comprehensive – whether you're into cardio, weight training, or functional fitness, you'll find everything you need. The space is clean, spacious, and never overcrowded, making it a true haven for fitness enthusiasts. The location is simply unbeatable. Situated in the heart of Yangon, Hotel G offers unparalleled access to the city's most iconic landmarks. I was able to walk effortlessly to the magnificent Shwedagon Pagoda, the historic Sule Pagoda, and several beautiful parks in the vicinity. This prime location not only saved me time and transportation costs but also allowed me to immerse myself in the local atmosphere and discover hidden gems along the way. The convenience of having such major attractions within walking distance truly enhanced my cultural experience. The service here is nothing short of exceptional. Every single staff member went above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable and memorable. From the concierge who provided invaluable local insights to the housekeeping team who maintained impeccable standards of cleanliness, the attention to detail and genuine care for guests was evident in every interaction. Their professionalism, friendliness, and willingness to assist with any request made me feel truly valued as a guest. Safety and security were never a concern during my stay. The hotel maintains excellent security measures, and I felt completely at ease throughout my visit. Whether returning late in the evening or leaving early in the morning, the well-lit surroundings and attentive security staff provided complete peace of mind. Excellent location, right next to the mall, so everything is close by. It's about a 40-minute drive from the airport. The room was beautiful, clean, and had a great view. It was quiet and well-equipped. The staff at the front desk were very welcoming, and the doorman was also great. I'll definitely be staying here again!

Convenient location for getting around, with restaurants nearby at night. The breakfast was delicious, especially the Burmese tea. You can see city views from the upper floors.

Balmi Hotel is located in the heart of the city, and overall, it was a pleasant experience. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the room was reasonably clean, offering a comfortable stay. However, I did encounter an issue that needs attention. I spotted two small cockroaches during my stay. While this did not ruin my experience, it needs to improve pest control measures. Addressing this would greatly enhance the overall quality of the stay. Despite this, Balmi has a lot to offer and could easily be a top choice for travelers once this issue is resolved.

This is perhaps one of few premium hotels that are still considerate to smoking patrons and offer smoking rooms which is why I selected it. My room was on the 3rd floor, with direct access to the pool. The room was clean, spacious and modestly comfortable. The breakfast buffet was excellent, delivering wide assortment and variety. There is a night club on site, however closed with anticipated opening from April 2026. The gym is clean and fully equipped. Look forward to staying here again.

This hotel boasts a super convenient downtown location, surrounded by numerous restaurants, shops, and even a shopping mall. However, be aware that it gets very crowded with people and traffic during the day, and can feel a bit chaotic at night. The staff are well-trained and genuinely helpful, and the overall service, including housekeeping, is excellent. The room was spacious – perhaps even too big for one person. The bathroom facilities were clean and easy to use. My only minor wish is that the lighting in the room could be a bit brighter. Breakfast was decent, but it felt a little less impressive compared to other hotels in Yangon in the same price range. If you enjoy Chinese or Indian cuisine, you'll probably find it satisfactory. Overall, if you're looking for comfort and a central downtown location, this hotel is definitely a solid choice.

I spent 7 days at this hotel. Here are the main pros and cons: Pros: — Breakfast included (buffet style). — Two bottles of water were provided daily. — A quiet and peaceful hotel. — Friendly and polite staff. Cons: — Shared shower (but this was stated upfront). — The breakfast was almost the same every day and not always replenished. It's best to go around 7:30–8:00 AM, otherwise, the food might run out. — The shared bathroom and toilet didn't look very clean. — The shower water was salty for some reason. Overall, it's a ”no-frills, get-the-job-done” type of place. For Myanmar, this is a perfectly decent budget option. You can comfortably stay for a few days.

The room had a high ceiling, about 3.5 meters, which really gave it a spacious feel. The British-style decor was very well-designed, and the hotel paid great attention to every detail. Its central location was also a plus, with a good Chinese restaurant just a five-minute walk away. I was very satisfied and would definitely stay here again on my next visit.

I stayed at the hotel for four days. Pros: Each room has a private bathroom, convenient location, and friendly staff. The price is around 900 rubles per night with breakfast, which is a great deal. Breakfast is served (no choice): usually rice with peas and an egg, but there are also bananas, juice, and you can ask for tea or coffee. Cons: There was no hot water—only cool water. The room is very small, more suitable for just an overnight stay. Air conditioning can be uncomfortable in such a small space. Bottom line: A good budget option for 1-2 days, but may be uncomfortable for a longer stay.
