Yantai Tonghui Hotel

This feels like a discounted room, perhaps because I snagged it at a cheap price? The check-in experience was really bad. The room was tiny, and the facilities were old, especially the bed. For a standard room, it was a 1-meter bed, which would be uncomfortable for anyone slightly overweight. The blanket was heavy and thick, making it hard to sleep. I couldn't fall asleep until 1 AM and was wide awake by 5 AM. The bed was uncomfortable, but that wasn't even the worst part. The worst thing was the door – if you're not strong, you can't open or close it. I just made do for one night.

The hotel is close to the North Square of the train station. If you're coming from the South Square, a taxi costs 11 yuan. The hotel is in a quiet spot despite being in a busy area, and the bun shop downstairs is pretty good. However, the room facilities are old. I suspect there were fleas on the bed because my family and I woke up with large red bumps on our waists and backs, but not on our limbs. They were slightly painful but not itchy, so they weren't mosquitoes. We were on a tight schedule, so we didn't report it to the hotel. I do not recommend this place.

Pretty good. The reception was warm and welcoming. The facilities were basic but clean, and the location was convenient.

Great location, close to all the city's attractions. Plenty of local eateries and restaurants nearby. The hotel also has its own parking lot. Good value for money. The air conditioning was nice and cool too.

Overall, it was a good stay. The room was clean and well-maintained. My only minor complaint is that the room was a bit small, but everything else was fine. The price was also reasonable. It's very close to the train station, which was perfect for us as we had an early morning train to catch. Yantai is beautiful, and I'll definitely visit again.
