Hotel is on a walk distance from the center of the city. All employees are very kind and helpful. The parking lot is located within the hotel and surrounding buildings and is not on the street. The rooms are smaller (I don't know about all of them) but they are very clean and tidy. Breakfast is nice and correct.

Taking a taxi from the airport to the hotel takes about 15 minutes and costs nearly 30 euros. Taking an Uber only costs less than 20 euros, which is very convenient.
The reception process by the guy at the front desk was very professional, he spoke very quickly, and I felt very anxious😅
The decoration style and facilities are very modern, and the lighting and air conditioning are unified with touch screen central control. The power plugs are concentrated on the bedside table, and they are decorated in black, making them easy to find. 😂
Overall it was good, except for one thing: the room was dusty, it looked like fluff on the bedding, and the vacuuming work needs to be strengthened.

The location is great. You can go shopping right away! Although the hotel is relatively old, it is very clean. The room is filled with the smell of soap as soon as you enter! There are not many types of breakfast, you can order bread, ham, eggs and a small amount of fruit! Overall not bad

Tho' officially 4Star, the service here is clear 5*. Have stayed at 5Star hotels, always pretty ... but staff too often more interested in the high profile clientele. At Hotel Capital, we were treated like well-loved family members... and our evening meals were delicious and lovingly delivered with custom wine choices for every course. Truly memorable! By the way ... the bed was VERY comfy... with several pillow choices, too! All this aside from the fact that its location is only a couple of blocks from the heart of the city... shopping, tourism, and restaurants galore!

This place appears to be a bit of a somewhat well- worn kitschy relic of the Soviet era-not a negative at all. The lobby has a bunch of intriguing items that one would never see in the West. Room/bathroom were quite spacious & spartan-no issues. Only thing needed to be a 5 star review is just a basic mini-fridge as while this is close to the main bus station, it is pretty far from everything else including restaurants & grocery stores so one needs to stock up on beverages, etc. when one is not out and about. Overall, good deal for a budget hotel particularly for solo travelers like myself.

Everything is nice except the fact that this is the first hotel that I've been to that the housekeeping came by so early. They will leave a note by the door saying that you are supposed to contact the receptionist to ask for them to clean (everyday if you miss them). Which is what I did, but then one day they still didn't come by and clean (not sure why). I think the system could have been better by maybe having two side of door note so the housekeeping will also know if you want your room to be cleaned or not.
The rest I can't really complain, breakfast spread is good. Location wise is a bit off but walkable to tram stops, again depending on where you are heading to.
The Best Western Hotel Stella is located near Zagreb Airport Pleso and the exhibition site, at the main road on the route from Zagreb Airport to the city center.
Because of its remarkably good location, the hotel is ideal for business travelers, tourists and passengers in transit. This privately owned hotel has been opened since 2008. It provides 43 fashionably equipped rooms and a conference room for 100 people equipped with the latest audio-visual technology. The hotel offers enough outside parking spaces for cars and buses.
Your pleasant stay is ensured by modern rooms and family atmosphere which we cherish a lot.
In the spacious breakfast room you can expect a variety of fresh delicacies at the breakfast buffet. We suggest you to finish your evening by relaxing with a delicious drink in our aperitif bar.
Our friendly, trained and experienced staff is at your service and endeavors to fulfill your wishes.

Nice hotel, service and facilities standardization. The location is good, just opposite the long-distance bus station, convenient for travel and large parking lot. There is a wide variety of breakfasts, and there is a small department to sell.

Outstanding
柳柳純一From Zagreb station, take the tram 2 or 6 and the stop is not painful if you get off at the Zagreb bus station.
This is good if you want to take advantage of the Zagreb bus station. There is no breakfast (you can procure it because there is a 24-hour bakery at the bus station), but you can substitute it because there is a kettle and a pack of tea and coffee and sticks. Instant soup and cup noodles are also good at the supermarket.
Wi-Fi is strong and stress-free.
There is air conditioning so you can deal with the heat of summer or off-season.
The facilities are brand new so you can spend very cozy.
We stayed in that recently opened hotel at the end of April. The location of the hotel is ideal! This is the Fatih area, usually noisy, but the hotel faces a small street closed for traffic. All the main sights of this side of Istanbul and Eminönü jetty are only 10 minutes away. The hotel is not a big, rooms look standard, but they have enough space (we stayed in a Standard room). End of course it’s very nice everything is absolutely new. There is a kettle, some kind of tea, bottles of water in a room. We prefer to have breakfast outside but the hotel also serve it on the terrace. I especially want to mention Elif, who works at the reception. She helped me with a difficult situation, responded quickly and efficiently. I am sure next time I will stay in Livro hotel again.
GGuest UserThe President of Turkey was visiting at the same time and although some side streets were closed we eventually arrived to the garage. This did not affect the service of the staff as they were just as helpful as usual. The decor of the hotel is very attractive and the room was very clean. The breakfast is amazing with a huge selection of breakfast foods as well as cooked items, cakes, vegetables, etc. You can be reassured if an item is left in the room from your trip it will be taken to the from office and reported. We forgot our passports and my jewelry in the safe only to discover them when we tried to check in Rovinj. The front office had tried to call us however we did not have service driving over the mountain. We returned to pick them up and everything was accounted there. What an awesome hotel!
IItripI'm not a frequent hostel-goer, but my stay here was less than impressive despite the high praise it often receives. The 11-person dorm felt cramped, featuring creaky wooden beds placed too closely together. The bedding and air quality left much to be desired. On the plus side, the facilities were decent and relatively clean, including a bar area that seemed underutilized both by guests and outsiders. Considering the £20 per night price tag, there are plenty of other options in Zagreb that offer a better value for the same cost
MMilesWhat began as a suspiciously underpriced, gorgeously designed, epicentrically located property with heart and smiles for days...turned into a psychotic, abusive nightmare, like something straight out of Rosemary’s Baby.
Never in all my days, in all the hundreds of properties and thousands of nights in everything from backpacker hostels to five-star suites, have I been subjected not simply to bad service (fixable) but outright and unrepentant hostility, harassment and torment by the staff. Unbelievable.
As the gentleman and professional many know me to be, I in good faith detailed the infractions, called for a GM meeting, recommended simple solutions, had multiple follow-up meetings, and presumed the offending micro-tyrants would be disciplined and neutralized. They weren’t. It only got worse. And worse still.
Think, stalking, door slamming, man-handling my iPad (verboten), shorting guest change when paying by cash in the bar (witnessed multiple times), having aggressive security called for eating in an otherwise public area five minutes beyond a theretofore unknown “rule,” asking me repeated and pointedly “how long I would be staying...” you get the idea.
So, in the end, I cancelled two weeks of reservations (which would have been expanded to 6+) and protested with my feet. I left.
A day out and I STILL feel emotionally winded, unsure of what I just witnessed.
All I know is that if my behavior to a client or guest even approached this, I’d be – and should be – terminated on the spot. This was not the decision of management.
But maybe it’s me. Maybe this is Croatia’s version of adventure travel. Not enough to make me fall out of love with Zagreb...but close.
Interesting world.
LLukGreat surprise for us and very good value for money! Staff was super nice and helpful, took 5 mins to go through the map and recommended places to go. Room is compact but is everything you need - it looks so new and clean assuming it has just been renovated. Shower temperature was good for summer but might not be warm enough in winter if don’t turn on the heater. Very big desk if that’s useful for you. 15 mins walk from the train station and nearest shopping mall, and another 15 mins walk to reach city centre. Free parking in front of the hotel.
BBartek W. SowińskiBittersweet stay at Speeka. Bad weather first 2 days and few mayor sites still closed due to earthquake in 2020. Hostel is located at 3-lanes main street so prepare for the traffic almost 24/7. Windows are old so don't stop the noise. 1st two nights I slept in room number 9 and there were two other cranky beds making so much noise with every move made. Then I moved to nr 6 and it was much better.
Staying there you need to be also prepared for coffee, tea and hot water shortages. And those shabby walls make an impression that the owner doesn't want to invest too much in renovation. Good thing is that hostel is in walking distance from the old town and everything is actually very closed.
People are nice and helpful, thanks to the lady at the reception I managed to print a ticket for 2Cellos - without it I wouldn't enter cause they don't have scanners to read a ticket on smartphone screen. But the concert itself was also sad, maybe cause of those strings sound. I don't know what happened but most likely will visit Zagreb in a few years again and stay at some better place.
AAnonymous UserThe room was ready by 11:00am so I could check in early and leave my luggage. I have a safety concern and it is that the code to access the main door is the same one to your room door, so unless everyone has a different code for both the main door and their room door (which is the same), any of the other residents can basically access your room since everyone shares the same code. The location is very good, very close to the main attractions. At times, there was a strange noise coming from the patio. Overall, decent experience.
GGuest User Liked · The location - center, 5 mins walking from the train station, everything else is also very near. Free lockers with the deposit. The beds very comfortable. The rooms have fans so people should not be complaining about rooms being too hot. There are vending machines in the hostel - it might be life saving in thee middle of the night - but they accept cash only. Disliked · Apart from the girl working in the morning no one smiles, they do their job, but still, when they looked at me I felt guilty of being there. Urinals in men toilet don't work, on any of the floors. there is a note saying that it's temporary but the note is so old that the color faded away - only one shower for the entire floor, can be problem. When it comes to Zagreb the price is great for the value, but comparing to other countries, it is very expensive, but accommodation in Croatia in general is of high price if you compare the ratio to food for instance.
