What is baggage delay Cover

  • AXA travel insurance

    The Company will reimburse You for the expense to replace Your necessary Personal Effects in Your Checked Baggage up to the Maximum Benefit shown on the Schedule of Benefits, if Your Checked Baggage is delayed or misdirected by a Common Carrier for more than twelve (12) hours, while on a Trip.

    You must be a ticketed passenger on a Common Carrier.

    All claims must be verified by the Common Carrier who must certify the delay or misdirection. Receipts for the purchases must accompany any claim.

    For AXA Travel Vacation Package Plan and AXA Travel Post Departure Plan, the maximum trip length is 60 days.
  • If I'm not traveling to or from United States, or I'm only transferring in United States, can I take out insurance?

    For AXA Travel Vacation Package Plan and AXA Travel Post Departure Plan, coverage is only available to US residents.
  • What are the age requirements for insured people?

    For AXA Travel Vacation Package Plan and AXA Travel Post Departure Plan, each insured person must be between 0 years old and 99 years old.
  • How are claims settled?

    If you want to make a claim, you need to contact the insurance company directly.
