Badly damaged in 1945, the bridge was reconstructed and now it’s the most heavily used railway bridge in Germany. This bridge is easily accessible from Cologne Cathedral, a huge landmark in Cologne. Placing padlocks started in summer 2008, in the last estimate in 2015, there are 500,000 locks. One can spend many mins looking at the different locks, spotting interesting ones.
