Plaza de la Corredera and Templo Romano

The Plaza de la Corredera in Cordoba is the only quadrangular main square in Andalusia. It was built between 1683 and 1687, it had gone through different stages throughout history and has different functions. It is around 950 meters 12 minutes walk from the Great Mosque. Today, it is one of the liveliest, with many bars and terraces to have a drink. Nearby the Cordoba Square around 300 meters is the Templo Romano, which was discovered in 1951, during the expansion of the town hall. It is a large building made up of six main columns and two laterial ones. There is a lot of atmosphere at any time of the day and it is one of the meeting points by the locals, and also the place of some events that are celebrated.
