Visiting the 'Witness of History' in the Ancient Village

I have lived in an ancient village in the Lingnan water town since I was a child, and I have a deep and lingering complex for the culture of ancient villages and towns! Whenever I have free time, I will take the time to visit these 'witnesses' of history. In the golden autumn of October, during the National Day holiday, a friend recommended that I go to see Daguitou Ancient Village, saying that it would definitely bring me great surprises. At the end of the holiday, I drove to Daguitou, an ancient village known as 'the first village of Guangdong'. From an aerial view, the village is built on a slope and spreads out in all directions, with rivers, ponds, and lakes winding around, presenting a unique scene of the Jiangnan water town. Entering the core part of Daguitou Village, it is a complex of ancestral halls and family temples that are built together for clan living, covering an area of 52,000 square meters, with a building area of more than 14,000 square meters, which is the largest ancient building complex of Guangfu wok-ear houses in Lingnan. Walking into the ancient village, one can see more than 200 Ming and Qing wok-ear houses that are neatly arranged and undulating; the mottled and shiny bluestone roads are simple and deep; the Wen Chang Tower, which has been baptized by wind and frost, still stands tall and proud... The scale and preservation of the ancient village are truly astonishing, and it is indeed worthy of the title of 'the first ancient village of Guangdong'!
