Chongwen Academy, Ganzhou Confucian Temple

Ganzhou Confucian Temple is located at No. 42 Houde Road, Zhanggong District, Ganzhou City, Jiangxi Province. The existing buildings were rebuilt in the 42nd year of the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty (1777). The Ganzhou Confucian Temple faces south and covers an area of about 13,000 square meters. Along the central axis, there are the Wanjun Palace Wall, the square, the Lingxing Gate, the Pan Pool, the Zhuangyuan Bridge, the Dacheng Gate, and the Dacheng Hall, in succession. The Ganzhou Confucian Temple has a basically complete structure, and it is the largest in scale, highest in hierarchical status, and best preserved in its original state among the Qing Dynasty county schools and Confucius worship sites in Jiangxi. The Chongwen Academy campus of Houde Road Primary School in Ganzhou City, Jiangxi Province, is located next to the Confucian Temple. With the thousand-year-old Ciyun Pagoda and adjacent to the Confucian and Martial Temples, it is a classical garden-style school with a profound accumulation of excellent traditional Chinese culture and a beautiful environment.
