Travelers can reach the city center from the airport via the Airport Expressway, Provincial Road S101, or more conveniently, by taking the Metro Line 6, which connects directly to the airport. Kunming Railway Station is another major transportation junction situated about 3.5 km south of the city center. The station is accessible by Line 1 of the Kunming Metro, offering a straightforward route for passengers to reach the city. 📌 Save this for your next trip to Kunming 10 reasons why I’d stay here again. I had a wonderful stay at Grand Hyatt Kunming and really enjoyed my first experience in Kunming. What stood out to me most was the design of the hotel. It feels modern and luxurious while still incorporating elements inspired by Yunnan. I especially loved the entrance, which was inspired by the region’s iconic rice terraces. It makes a beautiful first impression as soon as you arrive. The room was spacious, comfortable and had a lovely city view. The hotel also has excellent facilities, including a temperature-controlled indoor pool, spa and fitness centre, so it’s easy to spend a relaxing day without even leaving the hotel. The dining options were another highlight. There are several restaurants and bars with different styles of cuisine, and I genuinely enjoyed the food throughout my stay. The location is also very convenient. The hotel is directly connected to Spring City 66, so restaurants and shopping are just downstairs, and Dongfeng Square Metro Station is only a short walk away, making it easy to explore the city. I came to Kunming without many expectations, but ended up really enjoying the city. There are still many places I haven’t had the chance to visit, so I would definitely love to come back. And when I do, Grand Hyatt Kunming would be my choice again 🤍
