Butterfly Conservatory in the Elephant Valley

The wild elephant Valley in xishuangbanna ended up being a little bit of a let down because we didn't actually see any of the wild elephants. We did see the elephants in the show areas and got the opportunity to feed them some fruit which was cool. The rest of the forest valley park was still spectacular, the primeval forest was awesome and there were a lot of other animals to see such as reptiles, insects and butterflies. The butterfly house was really cool, they have a few different types of butterflies, some are very big and some look almost exactly like a leaf when they close their wings. They also had an area with hatching chrysalises.
