【Uji, Japan】A Tranquil and Far-reaching Ancient Capital Day Trip.

Many people traveling to Kyoto, Japan 🇯🇵 choose to spend half a day or a full day in Uji. The itinerary for this day trip starts from Uji JR Station → Mimurotoji Temple → Uji Shrine → Ujigami Shrine → Byodoin Temple → Uji Park 🚶♀️. Most of Uji's attractions are within walking distance. Except for taking a bus 🚍 from the JR station to Mimurotoji Temple, all other spots can be reached on foot, which is very convenient ☺️. When tired, you can taste traditional Japanese sweets and matcha tea 🍵 at the nearby old shops. It was a bit rainy 🌧️ on the day of my visit to Uji, but the misty weather matched the atmosphere of Uji perfectly. Plus, there were not many tourists that day, so while enjoying the spectacular views of the Uji River and Asagiri Bridge in Uji Park, I particularly felt the tranquil and far-reaching spirit of this ancient capital 😌. 🚝 Transportation: A short walk from Uji JR Station
