The garden of Entsu-ji Temple

#japantrip The garden of Entsu-ji Temple is a well-maintained dry landscape garden. In the distance, you can see the Hiei mountain range, with its gentle ridge to the left and its slightly steep ridge to the right, and it appears to be floating beyond the dry landscape garden and hedges. Looking at the garden with the Hiei mountain as a backdrop, I felt a sense of time passing transparently in the silence, and I felt a sense of happiness that is hard to describe. It is easy to see why this garden was so beloved by the journalist Torigoe Shuntaro during his time at Kyoto University.
