The British

The British Museum was founded in 1753, stemming from the collection of a physician and scientist named Sir Hans Sloane. The museum was first opened to the public on January 15, 1759 at Montagu House in Bloomsbury, which is where the museum is now located. The development of the museum over two and a half centuries is the result of a record of British colonial development and resulted in the creation of several institutions, the first of which was the British Museum (Natural History) in South Kensington in 1887. Some notable collections include the Elgin Marbles of the Parthenon, which became controversy regarding the return of the object to its country of origin. #themepark#nationalpark#lakes#beaches
