Sue suk cultural street

#songkran2024 This street is one block in from the seafront. It is worth walking along to see all the art work on the walls and buildings. Susuk means battlefield. You will also see many Japanese flags and lanterns because this marks the invasion point for Japanese troops on 8 December 1941, during World during II. A commemoration is held each December to honour the 38 Thai airmen and civilians who died in the fighting against the Japanese 143rd Infantry Regiment in the Battle of Prachuap Khiri Khan.
