🌟 The magnificent land of Guangxi, with its green mountains and rivers, is second to none. To understand a city, it is highly recommended to take your child to the local museum. Nanning has several very nice museums. If you are short on time and have to choose one, the Guangxi Museum, shaped like a bronze drum, catches the eye immediately. The museum's many decorations are inspired by elements such as bronze drums and Zhuang brocade. We fell in love with the place as soon as we arrived at the museum. 🌟 Before going, I forgot that the museum is closed on Mondays. After arriving in Nanning, I had to adjust all the travel schedules to visit the museum, so remember to book in advance. 🌟 The Guangxi National Museum covers an area of 130 acres and is a museum dedicated to the ethnic culture of Guangxi. The museum has six permanent exhibitions, namely 'Colorful Guangxi - Guangxi Ethnic Culture Exhibition', 'The Sound of Drums Through Time - Bronze Drum Culture', 'Zhuang Ethnic Culture Exhibition', 'Colorful China - Chinese National Culture Exhibition', 'Colorful World - World Ethnic Culture Exhibition', and 'Yesterday Once More - Exhibition of Hundred-Year-Old Artifacts'. 🌟 The museum also has children as docents, who speak very vividly and confidently. The children of Nanning are great, with one person responsible for an entire area without any stage fright. 🌟 Inside the museum, Jiaojiao and I were deeply attracted by the ethnic handicrafts and customs of Guangxi, marveling at the exquisite local architecture and the diversity of clothing. The bronze drums and embroidered balls, which we were already interested in, turned out to have so many stories. If you want to take your child to learn about the clothing, food, housing, and transportation of the ethnic minorities in Guangxi, this museum is worth a good day's visit. We were short on time and hurriedly visited for half a day, but we felt it was an eye-opening experience with a lot of gains. 🌟 You can also get a stamp in the museum, and there is a cultural and creative shop on the second floor where we bought a small embroidered ball to take home. 🌟 The Guangxi Ethnic Village is next to the Guangxi National Museum, and you can take a walk in the ethnic village after visiting the museum.
