Amsterdam in Japan
Want to experience Europe without getting out of Japan? This place is situated in Nagasaki, Japan. This theme park offers so many attractions especially for kids and kids-alike.
Day pass costs ¥7,000 and it is so much worth it. There is a gondola you can take that goes around the entire park.
They have variety of foods to choose from.
I highly recommend coming here during spring to catch the blooming tulips 🌷

Huis Ten Bosch: the Netherlands in Japan
So, I’m not a big theme-park person, but decided to pay a visit to Huis Ten Bosch as I had an extra day in Nagasaki.
On top of the rides (more for kids than adults), there are interesting museums and the grounds are well kept and nice. The day I visited, a Banksy exhibit was going on it was quite nice.
If you have kids, that’s definitely a must-go place if you are in Nagasaki.
It’s a good idea to rent a bicycle to move around as the place is huge.
13 millions light bulbs illumination
Paleis Huis ten Bosch is a royal palace originally from the Netherlands. However, the beauty of the palace brings a totally new experience in Japan. The theme park of Huis Ten Bosch has been recreated by the Japan Cooperation and has become the successful and superb charming theme park in Nagasaki, Japan. Huis ten Bosch is the largest theme park in Japan where all visitors can enjoy flowers, lighting, exciting rides, luxurious hotels, European villages and buildings in this extremely safe and beautiful environment. The Christmas lighting and events are also second to none. The theme park sets to display over thirteen millions light bulbs to sparkle and bring the remarkable lighting effects for the whole theme park. The spectacular illumination always makes the theme park being the key focus of every Christmas. This would undoubtedly be a joyful travel experience for you and your love, would you like to be surrounded by these 13 millions of colourful light bulbs?

Kujūku Islands Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in May)
Ninety-nine Island is one of Sasebo's most famous attractions, similar to China's Thousand Island Lake, but the scale is much smaller, overlooking the observation deck, and the islands are dotted in the lake, very beautiful.
Look at the cruise daily saying 8 in the morning
Memories of the 99 islands of Japan.
In 2009, I traveled to Nagasaki, Japan and visited Ninety-Nine Islands, a scenic spot in Sasebo City. We took a boat tour and the scenery was very beautiful! The snack bar at the boat ticket office sold delicious ice cream, and there were many yachts at the pier, which left a deep impression on me. Ninety-Nine Islands is not actually 99 small islands, but there are actually more than 200. If you go to Nagasaki, it is worth a visit.
Nagasaki 99 Islands
Offbeat tourism, Nagasaki's 99 islands.
Take the boat ride for sure, it's a 40-minute loop. The scenery is really beautiful.
You cannot disembark, but you can choose another small sailboat. There is also an option to pay extra to disembark and visit the uninhabited island.
There are akoya pearls for sale on the boat.
Everyone's favorite Japanese pearls are 90% produced here. So the prices are super cheap.
A 9mm one that looks like it's less than 500 RMB.
I bought it at Isetan Department Store in Tokyo for 2000 RMB. Sigh.
Next to it is an aquarium, which is also worth visiting. It's suitable for children.
It's a great place for both tourism and shopping.
The last piece of sushi is handcrafted by skilled artisans, very fresh and delicious, just like the one Abe treated Obama to. It's very expensive in Tokyo, but here it's less than 200 RMB per person.
Highly recommended. The owner is very nice. He knew we came from far away and kept chatting with me. The shop has a great Japanese atmosphere.
There is a vast sea area, scattered with dreamy 208 islands, the first sight of the illusion of Hangzhou Qiandao Lake, but here is a sea of ninety-nine islands in Sasebo, Japan. When the pure sea breeze slowly licks over the cheeks, when the shuttle-shaped boat glides through the islands, the sky floats with a large cloud, free and leisurely, just as I am at the moment.

Hotel Europe Huis Ten Bosch Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in May)
【Nagasaki Prefecture】Incredibly Valuable Guest Perks at Hotel Europe.
I visited Hotel Europe, the most luxurious hotel at Huis Ten Bosch. As it is positioned as the top-tier hotel, the accommodation fee is indeed a bit pricier compared to other hotels around Huis Ten Bosch. However, I personally think it's a highly recommended hotel that could be considered high cost-performance if you take advantage of the early booking discounts and the too-good-to-be-true guest perks.
Luxurious spaces will enrich your stay at Huis Ten Bosch even more!
Recommended Point 1
☆ Free shuttle bus service between Nagasaki Airport and Hotel Europe!!
For those coming from outside the prefecture, the common means of transportation between "Nagasaki Airport" and "Huis Ten Bosch" are either airport buses or high-speed boats. The bus costs 1250 yen one way (1500 yen from 6.1.2024), and the high-speed boat costs 2200 yen one way, but if you stay at Hotel Europe, you can use it for free! (Advance web reservation required)
Recommended Point 2
☆ If you purchase an admission ticket (either a 1-Day Passport or an After 3 Passport) on the day of arrival, you will receive a 1-Day Passport for each day of your stay!!
For a 2-day, 1-night stay, you would need to pay for two days' worth of passports if staying at an external hotel, but with Hotel Europe, you only need one, which is an incredible deal. For a 3-day, 2-night stay, you can enjoy three days with just one day's ticket. Remember to present your passport at the front desk every day, so don't lose it!!
(Reference price: 1-Day Passport Adult 7400 yen)
Recommended Point 3
☆ Check-in elegantly with the exclusive check-in cruiser for Hotel Europe guests!!
Similar to Huis Ten Bosch's popular attraction "Canal Cruiser," you will cruise around the park by boat. The "Canal Cruiser" is very popular and often has waiting times, but the check-in cruiser is relatively empty as it's exclusive to guests staying at Hotel Europe. If there's a queue for the Canal Cruiser, be sure to ask the staff.
Recommended Point 4
☆ Receive a ticket for the "SS Seat" at the Huis Ten Bosch Opera Theater's "Opera Company Performance"!! (Limited time event)
Only at Hotel Europe, you can receive a complimentary ticket for the SS Seat, which allows you to experience a full-scale live opera up close. Make sure to check in early and check the performance times!
Recommended Point 5
☆ You can enter the park one hour before it opens, so you can enjoy the less crowded park!
If you have a ticket for the day of your stay, you will receive a passport for the next day, which allows you to enjoy the park before opening. Attractions and shops are still closed, but since Huis Ten Bosch is beautiful with flowers and buildings, please take plenty of photos in the quiet morning and enjoy!
There are many more valuable perks, so please check the hotel's website for details!

Hotel Europe in Nagasaki Prefecture
I visited the top-class hotel 'Hotel Europe' in Huis Ten Bosch. For breakfast, you can choose between the buffet at the open and airy tea lounge 'Anchor's Lounge' or a Japanese set meal at 'Kisuitei'. This time, I chose the buffet. You can enjoy omelets made live in the kitchen, a carefully selected breakfast, and even the hotel's original sparkling wine as a 'morning eye-opener'. There were also enjoyable non-alcoholic options available.
The buffet offered a wide variety of food, so much so that I ended up eating too much in the morning. It was a wonderful buffet.

Memories of the wonderful stay at the Hausdorfer European Hotel.
In the European-style hotel of the Huis Ten Bosch theme park in Sasebo, Japan, the decoration style is European. I should have stayed in a luxury room at that time. The room was quite large and very European, with a bit of princess style. There was also a small sofa in the room, and the view outside the window was very good. You could see the lake and yachts. At night, you could watch the fireworks show in the park from the room. The corridor was also in the pink and green macaron color scheme, and the lobby was very grand and magnificent. The staff were very friendly. I suddenly remembered that I couldn't open the lock of my suitcase in the lobby back then. The staff helped me together and finally opened it. The impression was very deep.
