The Green Jinsha River - Tiger Leaping Gorge|| You're really having a blast!

Address, located in Hutiaoxia Town, Shangri-La City, Diqing Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province, Tiger Leaping Gorge is divided into three sections: Upper Tiger Leaping, Middle Tiger Leaping, and Lower Tiger Leaping, and is one of the deepest gorges in China. On the south bank of the Tiger Leaping Gorge scenic area is the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, whose main peak reaches an altitude of 5596 meters, while the Haba Snow Mountain on the north bank has an altitude of 5396 meters. Constrained by the high mountains on both sides, the river narrows to just over 50 meters wide after entering the gorge, with the narrowest point being so slim that a tiger or leopard could leap across, hence the name Tiger Leaping Gorge. The gorge is 80 kilometers away from the city center of Lijiang, located upstream on the Jinsha River, with a total length of 17 kilometers, a winding road of 25 kilometers, and a vertical height difference of more than 3900 meters, making it one of the deepest gorges in the world. It was once blocked by a landslide, but today the boulders remain, making the water's momentum even more turbulent. In June 2009, the Tiger Leaping Gorge scenic area was assessed by the National Tourism Administration and became a national AAAA-level scenic area.
