Discover the Fascinating Origins of Tampa at @epicureanhotel

Did you know that Tampa was actually named after the Calusa Native American word "Tanpa" which means "sticks of fire," possibly referring to the lightning strikes in the area. Despite May being considered a rainy season in Florida, we had an amazing time lounging by the pool at @epicureanhotel without any rain or lightning interrupting our fun. The only thing we noticed was the warm sun and positive energy! ;)
