Pu Yuan Fashion Ancient Town is three times larger than Wuzhen, but has ten times fewer people

During the Dragon Year Spring Festival, Pu Yuan Fashion Ancient Town, located in Pu Yuan Town, Tongxiang City, Zhejiang Province, attracts tourists from all over the country to experience the unique New Year atmosphere of the Jiangnan water towns. Pu Yuan is said to have been named after Pu Dou Nan, the six-generation descendant of Pu Feng, who was responsible for compiling the national history during the Southern Song Dynasty. Pu Dou Nan supported the enthronement of Emperor Lizong of Song, Zhao Xi, and was promoted to the position of Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Personnel. He was also granted the name 'Pu Yuan' for his residence, and the town was eventually named after it.
