Tongxin County, under the jurisdiction of Wuzhong City, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, is located at the junction of the Ordos Plateau and the northern part of the Loess Plateau. The central position is approximately 36°58'48" north latitude and 105°54'24" east longitude, with a total area of 4433.34 square kilometers. Tongxin has a typical temperate continental climate. During the Xia, Shang, and Zhou dynasties, it was part of Yongzhou. In 1958, the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region was established, and Tongxin County was directly under the autonomous region. In March 2019, it was listed as the first batch of revolutionary cultural relics protection and utilization areas.
