Shaxi in Dali is considered the ceiling of ancient towns in China, but to my surprise, there is also a stunningly beautiful ancient town hidden in Lijiang—Baisha Ancient Town. This place is not overly commercialized, compared to Lijiang Ancient Town it has fewer people and is more pleasant to stroll around, and you can look up to see the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, which is very impressive. 🚗 How to get to Baisha Ancient Town After arriving in Lijiang, you can directly take a taxi to Baisha Ancient Town, which is a dozen kilometers away from Lijiang Ancient Town and only a few kilometers from Shuhe Ancient Town. 🚶 How to play in Baisha As a Naxi ancient town, Baisha has the most authentic ethnic style of Lijiang. The ancient town is not big, and you can spend a day touring it. I went to Baisha three times, and a one-day citywalk can be done like this: 1️⃣ Snow Mountain View⛰️ You can see the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain in Baisha Ancient Town. The recommended viewing cafes are 'Hexi', '7sea', and 'Yi Wa Tang'. It's very comfortable to drink tea and read books in the courtyard.
