I discovered a treasure trove library on Mount Putuo, and its decor style is so cool

The Island and Study Room Library is located in Putuo District, Zhoushan City, and its Gongfu Style Post has been selected as one of the first batch of typical cases of Zhejiang Province's Gongfu Style Posts. The library is equipped with public reading areas (adult reading, children's reading), tourist information service area, cultural and creative product promotion area, and shared public spaces, with more than 5,000 books available. The station is equipped with self-service borrowing equipment, realizing inter-library loan and return among all book posts in Putuo District and public libraries, meeting the public's cultural and tourism needs. The library also creates a characteristic cultural and tourism space that integrates multiple functions such as child-friendly, cultural and tourism guidance, and youth development. In the selection of reading chairs, fully enclosed chairs and lazy sofas are used to prevent children from bumping. In addition, the library invests more than 130,000 yuan annually in operating company management services and actively guides related groups to participate in operation and maintenance, strengthening the self-blood-making function of the Gongfu Style Post and achieving sustainable and long-term operation. As of February 21, 2024, the Island and Study Room Library has held more than 30 cultural and artistic events, including the Mid-Autumn Music Concert 'Escape on a Full Moon' and intergenerational Q&A interactive exhibitions. At the same time, the library has also partnered with the district library to launch a series of scientific and educational activities such as intangible cultural heritage handicraft workshops and Asian Games knowledge popularization exhibitions.
