Yuanming New Garden

Visitors can enjoy free admission by following the official WeChat account at the entrance of the park. Zhuhai is so friendly to tourists. I arrived at Yuanming New Garden on the morning of February 6, 2024. Located at the foot of Shilin Mountain on Jiuzhou Avenue in Zhuhai, the garden covers an area of 1.39 square kilometers. It is constructed based on the original Beijing Yuanming Garden, selecting eighteen of the forty famous scenes from the Yuanming Garden to replicate on a 1:1 scale, and is one of China's first batch of AAAA-rated tourist attractions. Yuanming New Garden integrates classical imperial architecture, classical gardens of the Jiangnan region, and Western architectural ensembles. It recreates the Yuanming Garden for visitors, with fairy-tale pavilions scattered around the 'Fuhai' Lake, named after the story of 'Xu Fu's quest for immortality in the sea'. It was a favorite place for emperors and their consorts to enjoy lake tours, watch dragon boat races, and view fireworks. It served as the center for aquatic activities in the Yuanming Garden. Yuanming New Garden is quiet, comfortable, and grand. One cannot associate it with the tragic burning it once suffered; instead, it presents a scene of prosperity and is well worth a visit.
