#overratedspots Berjaya Times Square Theme Park is one of those places where I think it really depends on who you’re travelling with. The park is split into different sections, with the Fantasy Garden area focused more on younger kids, while Galaxy Station downstairs has the bigger rides and is more suited to older kids and adults. So if you’re travelling with a young family, I can see why this would be a fun option. Everything is indoors too, which is a big plus in KL, especially when the weather is hot or you suddenly get caught in the rain. For adults though, I felt it was a little underwhelming for the price. We went in around 6pm and were already done by 8pm, even though we took our own sweet time and weren’t rushing from ride to ride. There are some proper thrill rides in the adult section, but once you’ve gone through them, there isn’t a huge amount left to keep adults occupied. Some of the rides also feel quite dated, so I wouldn’t go in expecting the kind of large-scale theme park experience you’d get from newer parks. 🎢 So, is it worth it? For families with younger children, I’d say it makes more sense. The kids’ section has rides that are much more suitable for them, while older kids and adults can head downstairs to Galaxy Station for the more thrilling rides. For a group of adults or a couple, though, I’d probably put this lower down the KL itinerary, especially if you’re paying the full admission price. 🌧️ But keep it as a rainy-day backup This is probably where I think the theme park is most useful. KL weather can change pretty quickly, and having a fully indoor attraction right in the middle of the city is convenient when your outdoor plans get rained out. It’s also inside Berjaya Times Square, so once you’re done with the rides, you can easily spend the rest of your time shopping, grabbing food or just walking around the mall. So my take: 👨👩👧👦 Young kids: more worth it 🎢 Adults: limited after you finish the main rides 💑 Couple trip: not a priority 🌧️ Rainy day: good backup plan ⏰ Our visit: around 2 hours, taking our time It wasn’t a bad experience. I just wouldn’t make it a must-visit attraction for an adult KL trip. We went out of our way to grab dinner here, and luckily it wasn't too busy for a weekday evening. We ordered the Bak Kut Teh, Dry Bak Kut Teh, preserved radish omelet, fried dough sticks, and white rice. The indoor dining area wasn't too hot, and the food arrived quite fast. The Claypot Bak Kut Teh was decent—the broth was smooth and included both pork chunks and pig stomach. The Dry Claypot Bak Kut Teh had larger pieces of meat. The sauce wasn't fully reduced, but the meat was quite tender. It had a bolder, heavier flavor with just a hint of spice. The preserved radish omelet was very thin and lacked that rich egg fragrance. The radish itself didn't stand out much, and the whole dish was a bit bland. #skylinescapes TRX is easily one of my favourite parts of KL’s skyline. Every time I’m here, I’m impressed by how modern and ambitious this area feels, with Exchange 106 standing tall as one of Malaysia and Southeast Asia’s most recognisable skyscrapers. What I really enjoy is the whole experience around it — not just the tower. The Exchange TRX feels incredibly luxurious, with beautiful architecture, stylish interiors, high-end boutiques, international brands, cafés and plenty of restaurants. There’s even a huge rooftop park that adds greenery to all the skyscrapers. For me, this is where KL’s modern side really shines — futuristic, luxurious and still surrounded by greenery. The indoor theme park at Berjaya Times Square in Kuala Lumpur has been open for decades. Because the entire mall is quite old, I naturally assumed this theme park just had some ordinary rides. I was back in Kuala Lumpur for a few days last month and, having nowhere else to go, I took my kid to check out this theme park. I originally thought 2 hours or so would be enough, but it ended up keeping us occupied for the entire afternoon, and we still wanted more! The theme park spans floors 6–8. The 6th floor has the ticket office and some VR games, cinemas, and rides for older kids/adults; the 7th floor is suitable for the whole family, from young to old; and the 8th floor has lockers. The ticket office clearly lists the height requirements for each ride, and ticket prices differ for citizens and non-citizens. If your child is a citizen but you are not, you can still enjoy the citizen rate! Tickets are valid for unlimited play time, but once you leave, you cannot re-enter. There are restrooms and snack shops inside the theme park. I've included the ticket prices in image 3. We spent all our time on the 7th floor. Height requirements for each ride are clearly categorized into child rides, adult rides, and family rides. It wasn't crowded; except for 1–2 attractions that required a 5-minute wait, we didn't have to queue for anything else and could ride as many times as we wanted. The entire park is beautifully decorated, just like a giant fairy tale kingdom. There is also a place called the "playground" where children go in on their own. Remember to wear socks; if you didn't bring any, they are sold at the entrance. There are many large net climbing frames, as well as various bridges and tunnels to crawl through—the kids loved it! Before leaving, we also walked around the 6th floor. There are many 4D movies to choose from and VR games to play, which are also great for adults and kids who meet the height requirements. This theme park really surprised us. If we're back and looking for something to do, we'll definitely visit again. There are plenty of places for parents to sit, so it's definitely easy to spend a relaxing half-day here with the kids!

Just from a simple sentence, you can feel the strong Nanyang style. Since the last two centuries, the British government in Malaysia has introduced a large number of Chinese workers. Since then, the Chinese have taken root here and mixed some Chinese cuisine into local sauces and cooking methods. Adding freshly fried crispy pork lard and dark soy sauce greatly enhances the taste of the noodles.
