#Houston Museum of Natural Science Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Apr)
Houston Museum of Natural Science 🍁✨
Absolutely stellar museum. The Paleontology, Fossilized Wood, and Gem exhibits were our favorites; but the entire museum was incredible. The exhibits were large with a plethora to see and learn about.
Every exhibit has interesting things to look at and learn from. I went into every section expecting it not be nearly cool and was pleasantly surprised every time when I was wrong.
The whole experience was educational, inspiring, and left us with a profound appreciation for the achievements of space exploration. I highly recommend getting there as soon the museum opens if you don't want to be stuck in crowds.

The Houston Museum of Natural Science, immersed in the world of dinosaurs and pharaohs
If you visit a showroom, the Houston Museum of Natural Science is not completely unfinished. The Paleontology Pavilion on the first floor is one of the largest dinosaur fossil pavilions in the United States.

Houston's largest museum, the Museum of Natural Sciences, is the third largest comprehensive museum in the United States (and the world's largest and highest-quality museum of mineral gemstones), including a planetarium and an IMAX cinema. The existing facility at the main museum of Hermann Park was built in 1969. This is a four-story building that includes a natural science hall and exhibition. The fixed exhibition area contains earth, space, chemistry, bacteria and microbes, gems and minerals, energy, and Texas wild life. Many of these exhibits can be touched and are loved by children. The content of the special exhibition area has changed. It has hosted "Iraq Treasures", "Dinosaurs", "Human Exploration"; "Chinese Qin Terracotta Warriors Exhibition", "Silk Road Mystery - Xinjiang Cultural Relics Exhibition". Current exhibitions include the Texas Exhibition, the Ancient Ukrainian Byzantine Empire Exhibition, the American Civil War Exhibition, and the opening of the new Terracotta Warriors exhibition of Warriors, Mausoleums and Temples from China on April 1, 2012. There are also Berkbek Planetarium, Cochran Butterfly Center and Worthman IMAX Cinema. This museum is currently one of the most popular museums in the United States, and is ranked second in the museum of the non-Smithsonian Museum system, second only to the American Museum of Natural History in New York. The museum is so famous because of its large number of special exhibitions and overseas cooperative exhibitions.
