#Joffre Lakes Park (Pre-booked day pass required) Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in May)
Nature’s Beauty Beckons @ Joffre 🏔️
Located along the scenic sea to sky highway and about 2.5 hours drive north of Vancouver, hiking in Joffre Lakes Provincial Park was a breathtaking experience from start to finish.
The trail offered a high “reward to effort” ratio, with stunning views offered and only requiring a moderate level of effort for the hike. The three turquoise lakes are like something out of a postcard, each more beautiful than the last. The hike itself is well-maintained paths and had clear signage.
The highlight is undoubtedly the final lake, with its glacier-fed waters shimmering against the backdrop of towering mountains. The sense of accomplishment upon reaching the top is unmatched.
Overall, Joffre Lakes Provincial Park is a must-do for all nature lovers visiting this area. Don’t miss it if you are driving up to Banff like us!

Another hikers paradise, Joffre lake is one of the best places, that I visited in BC. Three incredible lakes with unbelievably clear water of various colours from emerald to clearly blue and the last one has a wonderful view at Glacier. As there was snow on the ground and it's quite slippery so we visited the small lake only and that was located not far from the parking place. It is indeed a beautiful lake with clear water.

🌊Joffre Lake
Banff is too far, and hiking to Garibaldi Lake is too exhausting, so please remember to visit Joffre Lake! It takes 4 to 5 hours for a round trip, the mountain path is not too steep, and there are three lakes: lower, middle, and upper. Especially Middle Lake and Joffre Lake, they are like emeralds under the snow-capped mountains, stunningly beautiful;

The Nairn Falls trail is suitable for all ages, and it only takes a 1.5-kilometer walk to see the waterfall landscape above the canyon. If you are still not satisfied after hiking at Joffre Lake, welcome to Nairn Falls to continue enjoying the pleasure of walking.

🌊Brandywine Falls
Continuing south, you will come to the Sea to Sky Highway's second signature waterfall: Brandywine Falls. Compared to Nairn Falls, this 'brandy' waterfall is even more spectacular, and with its graceful beauty, it only takes a little over 10 minutes of hiking to behold her charm.

🌊Whistler Bungee Bridge
Right next to the Brandywine Falls, another thrilling activity awaits you: Whistler Bungee Bridge! Situated above the jungle, with a deep canyon and rapid water flow beneath, it awaits the courageous to conquer!

The 'temple' for outdoor enthusiasts, Garibaldi Lake requires a whole day or two of hiking, and the view from the peak will be unforgettable. If you have the stamina, be sure to challenge Panorama Ridge, and you will understand: it's so simple to shoot a blockbuster.

Picturesque place - Canada 🇨🇦
On this trip to Canada, my favorite off-the-beaten-path spot was Joffre Lakes. It's worth noting that the round trip takes at least four hours, which is probably why it hasn't been developed into a famous attraction. But the effort is worth it, because the sight of the snow-capped mountains is only visible through physical exertion. Also, we started climbing at 9:30am, and the initial lighting was not suitable for photography, so be mindful of the time. There are a total of three lakes, the first of which is very close. The second lake, which is the most beautiful, takes one to one and a half hours to reach. The distance between the second and third lakes is also about half an hour. The last lake has many large rocks, but you definitely need to go down to the bottom of the lake to take the most beautiful photos. However, be careful of your footing. Canada, North America.
