Crescent-shaped lake between 🇫🇷 and🇨🇭
Lake Geneva is considered as Central Europe’s largest lake between France and Switzerland. As your train moves nearer here, you will start to spot houses resembling French architecture rather than Swiss-style architecture.
Visitors usually enjoy the cruise to notable sights, including the emblem of the city of Geneva, the “Jet d’eau”, up to 140metre high eater fountain in the middle of the lake.
Geneva itself is a diplomatic hub with many luxury shops and cobbled old town. On the southern end, you can also visit the spa town and resort of Evian-les-Bains or Lausanne, Montreux and Vevey.

Beautiful Yvoire, France
#EuroTrip - Small French Medieval Village
Located on the border with Switzerland, Yvoire is a quaint and flowery medieval village in the south-eastern region of Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes in France. It is also situated on the French shores of Lake Geneva as well. Yvoire is also touted as one of France’s most beautiful villages, locally nicknamed the “Pearl/Gem of Lake Geneva”.
The preserved and fortified village is famous for its floral display too and has been awarded by the International Trophy for Landscape and Horticulture.
Take a walk along the village's historical cobblerstoned narrow streets and proceed to the beautiful waterfront with splendid views of Lake Geneva as well. Enjoy the magnificent sights the village and the waterfront has to offer. Remember to take tons of insta shots too !
Yvoire is now ranked as one of the International Laureates of Floral Decorations, and is a member of the Association of the Most Beautiful Villages of France.
A speciality of Yvoire is their filet de perche from Lake Geneva. So do give it a try when you visit. All the restaurants there serve it lol. If you are into duck foie gras and cheese, you are in for a treat too !

Geneva, the second-largest city in Switzerland
Geneva, home to many international organizations, is Switzerland's second-largest city, nestled by one of Western Europe's largest lakes, Lake Geneva. Upon arriving in Switzerland, the first impression is of cleanliness, even the waters of Lake Geneva are so clear that you can see to the bottom! The natural dividing line between Switzerland and France is Lake Geneva, where you can also find one of the world's tallest fountains, with water jets reaching up to 140 meters high! 👉 St. Peter's Cathedral is the most representative Catholic church in Geneva's old town 👉 The Palace of Nations was the headquarters of the League of Nations, the predecessor of the United Nations, and is now the European headquarters of the United Nations 👉 The Broken Chair is an artist's longing for peace, with the chair's broken leg symbolizing the limbs lost by humanity due to war! Although Switzerland is expensive, the tourist bureau has prepared free transportation cards for visitors, allowing free use of buses, trams, and boats on Lake Geneva, which is very user-friendly. However, whether we take the tram or the boat, no one has ever checked or needed to scan

The Mysterious Fork by Lake Vevey: A Wonderful Fusion of Art and Nature
Switzerland's fairy-tale land—Vevey, nestled among the lakes and mountains, hides an awe-inspiring artistic wonder. On the shores of Lake Geneva, a gigantic fork stands tall in the water, as if it were a piece of cutlery inadvertently left behind by Jesus Christ during a meal. This is no ordinary object, but a masterpiece by Swiss artist Jean Pierre Zaugg, specially designed to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the Vevey Food Museum.
Vevey, this small town located between Lake Geneva and the French border, has gained fame far and wide because of this giant fork in the lake. Originally a temporary art installation, it unexpectedly became a landmark of Vevey, drawing countless tourists to explore.
Standing on the lakeshore, gazing at the huge fork, one can feel the harmonious blend of art and nature. It not only witnesses the prosperity and changes of Vevey but also serves as a bridge connecting the past and the future.
If you also want to experience this wonder and mystery, consider embarking on a journey to Vevey to discover the story behind this giant fork in the lake. There, you will appreciate Switzerland's unique natural scenery and cultural charm, leaving behind unforgettable memories.

Switzerland|Romance intertwined with fairy tales and wonderland
|Romance intertwined with fairy tales and wonderland. "If mountains have a hometown, it must be from Switzerland; if water can be attached, it must have been to Switzerland"
Perhaps the cultural charm of it is that although it is a small country, it is so colorful. The picturesque grasslands, the majestic snow-capped mountains, the clear lakes... The breathtaking scenery and characteristic activities make tourists linger.
Although Switzerland is small in area, public transportation is very developed, and tourists can reach all parts of Switzerland as they wish.
Lake Geneva
As the headquarters of the United Nations in Europe, Geneva is a blend of cultures from all over the world; castles, villages and vineyards are scattered around Lake Geneva, and the water and snow-capped mountains, blue sky are connected, thousands of ducks are flying on the lake, and the white swans are leisurely and freely in the water.
+Matterhorn
Although the Matterhorn is neither the highest peak in Switzerland nor the highest peak in the Alps, it is the image of Switzerland. The design inspiration for Swiss triangular chocolate comes from here, and you can also find the unique species of Switzerland: Valais Blacknose (the prototype of Shaun in the cartoon Shaun the Sheep)
Grindelwald
The beautiful town located at the foot of the Jungfrau is a must-visit for travelers to the Jungfrau. The historic old town, the blue lake, the continuous snow-capped mountains and the fairy-tale town make this place a must-visit spot for Swiss tourism.
Zermatt
Zermatt is located at the foot of the Matterhorn, in the midst of many climbing and skiing venues, and its unique geographical location makes it one of the most famous resorts in the world. Ski resort Zurich
Zurich is the capital of Zurich, Switzerland, and the largest city in Switzerland. As one of the richest cities in Europe, Zurich is different from the hustle and bustle of other big cities, it exudes a quiet and beautiful atmosphere.

Dancing with the Lake and Mountain: A 4-day 3-night Travel Guide to Switzerland
Hello, travel enthusiasts, today I am here to share my 4-day 3-night essence itinerary in Switzerland. After reading this article, I believe you will definitely not get lost when traveling in Switzerland! 💖
First of all, planning the idea of traveling to Switzerland is very important! My suggestion is to choose the mountain you mainly want to go to (First/Jungfrau), the lake you want to play (Brienz/Thun), the small town you want to see (Grindelwald/Longjiang/Lauterbrunnen/Spiez), and then look at the tickets for Zurich and Geneva, and then make the route in and out of Switzerland.
Day1️⃣: London✈️➡️Geneva
Depart in the morning and fly to Geneva. It takes about 40 minutes to queue when entering the country. However, you can vaguely see the continuous snow-capped mountains in the distance at the airport, which makes me very excited! So, I took the bus directly to the United Nations Palace of Nations. 🇺🇳
Seeing the national flags of various countries at the entrance of the Palace of Nations, I really had some real feelings about the legendary United Nations. If you want to visit, you can make an appointment in advance. There are also the famous broken leg wooden chair and the international anti-landmine sign at the door, which is worth a look!
Then, we took the train to Bern. This section of the train route follows Lake Geneva, and the glimpse of the lake and mountains on the train brought a very shocking experience to the British who had never seen snow-capped mountains. 🚄
In Bern, the city named after the bear, we mainly went to the clock tower and the Rose Garden (Rosengarten). The Rose Garden needs to climb a few minutes on the hillside, and the town is very beautiful overlooking the river. 🐻
After the train, we arrived in Grindelwald. Just in time for the sunset in the evening, the slope under the setting sun is really a fairy tale into reality. 🏔️
This is my first three stops in Switzerland, and I will continue to introduce the following itinerary in the next article! I hope my sharing can help you. 💕

Geneva's Rainbow Lake: A 2024 Yearning
Geneva's lake, Lac Léman, is a mesmerizing spectacle that greets visitors with its serene beauty. The azure waters mirror the surrounding snow-capped Alps, creating a picturesque panorama. My arrival was serendipitously welcomed by a vivid rainbow, casting a magical aura over the lakeside city. The lakeshore promenades, adorned with vibrant flowers, invite leisurely strolls, while the iconic Jet d'Eau gracefully punctuates the skyline. Each sunset paints the sky in hues of pink and orange, reflecting on the tranquil waters. In 2024, I wish to return and witness once more the enchanting convergence of nature and elegance that defines Geneva's lake.

Lake Geneva is charming day or night!
#timetotravel#genevalake #citybeach
The splendid Lake of Geneva makes a wonderfully chic promenade - the scenery changes depending on which side of the lake you are on! Great for morning jogs or evening walks. There is also a city beach for picnics and swimming. The powerful water jet in the middle of the lake shoots impressively skywards at 200km/hour!
In Geneva, Geneva Lake is one of the most attractions. This point of photography is also quite beautiful, but not too excellent.

Why do so many people want to come here? ❓ Is it just because of the swans? 🐣
A country blessed by God 👰, with picturesque scenery, suitable for travel all year round ✈️. The northern city of Basel has world-class contemporary art and architecture, while the western Lake Geneva is dotted with many castles, villages, and wine 🍸 estates. The central region of the Jungfrau area is an epic outdoor paradise, the eastern national park is magnificent and grand, and the southern glaciers are breathtaking. In addition, major cities such as Zurich, Lucerne, Geneva, and Bern are perfect for experiencing the culture and humanities.
Located on the shores of Lake Geneva in the French-speaking area of Switzerland, Montreux is truly a super suitable place for vacation! We went there in March and it was really warm when the sun was out, feeling like we had entered summer early. The lakeside is full of various kinds of flowers 💐, and the richness of the flower species really amazed me. It's especially suitable for taking a walk 🚶 along the lake with friends or loved ones, or choosing a favorite flower bed to sunbathe and chat.
In the midst of the rippling waves 💦, the clear and transparent lake water seems to blend into the white snow on the top of the Alps. The white gravel at the bottom of the lake reflects the moving ripples caused by the gentle breeze and the flapping of water birds 🕊️.
Groups of swans are playing on this transparent and bright sapphire 💎, their smooth and delicate wings shining brightly in the sunlight. I think I have found the fairyland Swan Lake 🏞️ from the fairy tales.
In Geneva, the summer☀ is not hot, but the winter is very cold💨. The southern region of the Alps🗻 has a Mediterranean climate, which is relatively dry in summer and warm and humid in winter. The transitional climate on the north side of the Alps is very obvious, with a mix of mild and humid temperate oceanic climate and cold winter and hot summer temperate continental climate from west to east. Some high-altitude areas have a plateau mountain climate. The climate here is very diverse, so the best time🕐 to visit is relatively scattered.

Lake Geneva is the largest lake in the Swiss Alps and a top tourist destination for many people.
When you come to Geneva, you must take a stroll by the lake, in fact, you've been by the lake the whole time~~~
Sitting on a boat and getting up close with swans on the rippling lake is also a great choice. And don't forget to visit the must-see attraction in Geneva, the over 140-meter-high Jet d'Eau fountain visible from all over the city.
DiscoveringJourneys
The beauty of Lake Geneva.
Lake Geneva is the first lake that tourists see, and of course, accommodation will also be chosen in the hotels by the lake, because Geneva is a city built around the lake.
The lake water is very clear and cold, and its source is a snow mountain that accumulates snow all year round.
Lake Geneva is the largest lake in Switzerland, with swans swimming on the surface and searching for food either from passersby or in the water. Some water birds also freely perch on the cables and iron pillars in the water at the docks and ports.
The Jet d'Eau is a sight in Geneva, with water jets that are much higher than the city's buildings. Often, a rainbow 🌈 can be seen due to the fountain.

Once upon a time in Geneva, it's such the great memorie

My journey's best - the most pleasant afternoon.
Many times, the journey is rushed, rushing for planes, trains, and business hours... Everything seems like a rush, and being able to stop and enjoy a slow time seems like a luxury. Looking back on my journey, there were many hurried moments, some leisurely and relaxed, but the most pleasant memory for me was spending an afternoon by Lake Geneva and the old city.
From Nice, France, flying to Geneva was already in the afternoon, but the good weather there still didn't spare its golden sunshine. Everything was covered with a warm yellow coat under the radiance, making Geneva, which was originally busy, reflect a pleasant and peaceful era. Lake Geneva is also a good place for locals to relax. It was already October in the golden autumn, and although the sunshine was warm, there was still a bit of chill when the wind blew, and the lake water was quite cold. But there were still handsome guys and beautiful girls sunbathing by the lake. Nearby, there were groups of people, clear lake water, leisurely swans, rainbow fountains soaring into the sky in the distance, European-style buildings by the lake, snow-capped peaks on the horizon, everything between humans and nature was so harmonious!
I also love the old town of Geneva so much. The spire of the cathedral, the famous long bench, the drinking fountain at the street corner, the old-fashioned shops, and the greeting "bonjour" from a stranger coming towards me make me want to stop and sit in a corner, watching people come and go, watching time pass by.
In the blink of an eye, 12 years have passed. I have traveled to more countries and cities, but this afternoon in Geneva is deeply rooted in my memory. I think, one day I will return there, sit by the lake and watch time pass by.
