How to have fun in Zhangzhou? Come and you will find out
Zhangzhou, also known as 'Zhang', nicknamed the Seaside Zoulu, the hometown of daffodils, is located at the southern end of the Golden Triangle in southern Fujian, bordering Xiamen City and Quanzhou City to the east, Longyan City to the north, Meizhou City and Chaozhou City of Guangdong Province to the west, and facing Taiwan Province across the sea to the southeast. The city covers a land area of 12,600 square kilometers and a sea area of 18,600 square kilometers. The climate is mild, belonging to the subtropical monsoon humid climate.
The territory of Zhangzhou has been inhabited by ancestors for over ten thousand years. In the 25th year of Emperor Qin Shi Huang (222 BC), it was incorporated into the central territory of Qin, belonging to Minzhong County. In the second year of the Tang Dynasty's Chuigong era (686 AD), General Chen Yuanguang was granted permission to establish Zhangzhou, which began as the state administration of Zhangzhou, and was later renamed Zhangzhou County and Zhangzhou Prefecture, among others. After the establishment of the People's Republic of China in 1949, it was renamed as the sixth administrative district of Fujian Province, also known as Longxi Special District. In 1969, it was changed to Longxi Region, and in 1985, it was renamed Zhangzhou City. In 1985, it was listed by the State Council as one of the national coastal economic open areas, and it was one of the earliest regions to implement the opening-up policy in China. Zhangzhou is also the hometown of the Chinese women's volleyball team, a central city in the economic zone of the west coast of the Strait, the city of clocks and watches in China, and the city of hot springs in China. Zhangzhou has the Nanjing Tulou, which is listed on the World Heritage List, Dongshan Island, Zhangzhou Coastal Volcanic National Geopark, Yundongyan, and other attractions.

Zhangzhou Yunyan Cave | A natural wonder hidden in the city
Fujian Zhangzhou Yunyan Cave, a AAAA-rated scenic spot, is currently free to enter at will. Today the weather is sultry, and I climb the mountain alone for the Nth time, which is not a high one.
I chose Route 3, which requires passing through the Thousand People Cave to see the Skyline.
I kept sweating on the way up the mountain, my upper body was completely wet, and the two bottles of water I brought were all drunk, there are many vendors selling water on the mountain road, I bought another bottle of water and drank it again
Far up the cold mountain, the stone path is slanted, and there is a home in the depths of the white clouds. Rugged mountain roads, climbing rocks and passing through caves, remember: You must pass through the Thousand People Cave to reach the Skyline (especially narrow, only wide enough for one person, bags need to be hung sideways) The top is the Wind-Moving Rock.

Zhangzhou•Yundongyan One-Day Tour Guide
From a distance, Yundongyan looks like a majestic warrior. He is clad in iron armor, wearing a huge helmet, sitting on a mountain, immovable, guarding the east gate of the ancient city of Zhangzhou.
🏞Scenic name: Yundongyan
📍Address: 🕹️Caisan Village, Lantian Town, Longwen District, Zhangzhou City, Fujian Province.
🛵Travel method: Electric vehicle
Other: No need for 🎫
Right line↗️: Natural stone steps.
Left line↙️: Artificial stairs.
Up and down↕️About 2.5h.
✅Water, snacks to replenish energy.
The mountain road of Yundongyan is very steep. The step road shuttles between giant rocks, and from time to time you have to drill through several caves. There are steps that are not easy to walk, and in the era without step roads, tourists can only 'climb the basket and pull the tree🌳 to reach the top' (see the stone inscription from the Ming Chenghua period on the top of the mountain). It is precisely because of the steep terrain that Yundongyan has been a battleground for military strategists since ancient times, and there are still military fortress buildings on the mountain.
✅Thousand People Cave:
It is a giant Danxia cave on the middle line climbing route of Yundongyan, named for its huge space in the cave that can accommodate a thousand people.
From the situation in the cave, this should have been a cliff full of strange rocks, but one day the sky collapsed and the earth cracked, and a huge rock fell down, covering the cliff completely, forming such a cave.
✅A line of sky:
Coming out of the dark Thousand People Cave, what greets you is not the winding path leading to a secluded place, but a narrow crack that may get you stuck - a line of sky. I have seen 'a line of sky' several times in the mountains, but so far, the one in Yundongyan is the real deal - there is only that line, if you are a little bit fatter, you may not be able to pass.
Even if you are as thin as lightning, when you pass through the line of sky sideways, you have to be mentally prepared, because the distance between the opposite rock wall and your eyes will not exceed ten centimeters, directly pulling the sense of oppression to the full.
