Food in Korea
We just had 1 week trip to Korea and we must say that Korean food is super awesome. It is not so spicy and taste very well. We tried both street food and restaurant food, and all are nice with reasonable price, not too expensive as people reviewed. There are many BBQ places for you to tried, i must suggest you should try beef intestine because it is very nice. Best food in Korea 😆 #Food #Foodie #yummy

Koyasan Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Apr)
Fall Breeze and Autumn Leaves in Japan
One of the best places to admire the autumn colors in Wakayama Prefecture is in the mountains of Koyasan. The best time to visit this place is late October until early November. Expect a crowd of tourist on this place so better go early to enjoy the experience. You can reach Koyasan from Gobo, Wakayama for about 1.5Hrs by car. Be ready with a cold weather since this place is situated in a mountain. More than the different colors of autumn leaves, you can enjoy the huge temples. It is said to be the home of 100 buddhist temples.
#japanautumn
Mount Koyasan is a magical place, high in the mountains about 2 hours by train from Osaka. It is the “headquarters” of Shinto Buddhism, which gives it a very peaceful atmosphere.
You can sleep in a local temple and enjoy a vegetarian meal, see the photo for a feel of how many different dishes.
Tip: after dinner take a walk through town, even more serene and in my opinion an unforgettable experience.

Soul of Wakayama-Mount Koya
Meet your peaceful mind at Koya san or mount Koya at Wakayama perfectire, Osaka,Japan.
1,200 years ago at this place where the monk Kugai had invited Vajarayana Buddhism to Japan. He had established many buddhist temple in this mountain and from now on people had followed his pilgrimage path that took at least 1 month to finish by foot.
Mount Koya is one of the sacrifice place because monk Kugai taught Buddhism and meditated until the end of his life here.
People and monks came to pay homage to his tomb and chant Prajya Paramita in front of his place.

Mount Koya in Japan | The place where Master Kukai lectured, the largest dry landscape garden in Japan
Kongobuji Temple, is one of the must-see places in Mount Koya.
❤Recommended reasons:
🌟Kukai founded the Shingon sect in Mount Koya, and Kongobuji Temple is the head temple of the Shingon sect and the place where Master Kukai lectured.
🌟Unlike the common temples full of gods and Buddhas, there are no Buddha statues in the few halls open to the public in Kongobuji Temple, but the layered screens in several rooms are impressive.
🌟These paintings by the monk Kano Tan'yu, whether they are detailed flowers and birds or freehand landscapes, cherry blossoms and peonies in spring, stream maple leaves in autumn, are full of magic that lights up people's hearts in an instant.
🗾Banryutei
✅Passing through the corridor, you will pass a beautiful courtyard. On the ground of the courtyard, like the dry landscape of Renjo-in, a large 'A' is written.
✅The Shingon sect belongs to the Eastern Esoteric Buddhism, and its doctrinal point is that all phenomena in the universe return to 'A'.
✅'A' is the absolute entity of all dharmas, neither born nor destroyed, neither dirty nor clean, neither increasing nor decreasing.
✅Looking at the 'A' character and contemplating the heart is the contemplation of the Bodhi mind in the Shingon sect.
🙏Highlights:
🌟At the end of the building is the kitchen operation room of the temple, etc.
🌟From the outside to the inside, all are open for people to visit, conveying the scene of Kukai's teaching and living here.
🚌Transportation: Take the Nankai Rinkan bus from Nankai Koyasan Station and get off at 'Kongobuji-mae'
⏰Opening hours 8:30-17:00

Sandanbeki Cliffs Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Apr)
Sandanbeki Cliffs
Finally got to come to this place after about half a year later! Came here last July but it was raining, my family and I couldn't do much but make a U-turn even after a long 2 hours ride from Osaka. It was a bright sunny weather this time with nice cloud covers too. Managed to clear this attraction before the nasty rain clouds came in hahaha. As this is our 2nd attraction of the day, we didn't have much time so we skipped the cave exploration( tickets purchase required).

Beautiful Rock Formations in Wakayama
Shirahama, a must place to visit when you travel at Wakayama Prefecture. Not just a home of good beaches and seafoods but of beautiful rock formations too. Shirahama has a white stretch of white beach that can be enjoyed by everyone for free especially on summer season. The multi tiered rock formations and great views of the bedrock where the action of waves are sculptured are among those highly visited spots by tourists. Don't forget to drop by on Engetsu Island viewing deck to capture the sunset.
#japantravel
Sandanbeki Cliff has two parts, both the inside and the outside. To access the underground caves, you would have to take an elevator down, and follow the path to see the different parts of the underground caves. There are areas where you can see the rocks that have been washed and cut out by the waves, and the splashing of the waves can be quite surreal. Upon exiting the underground caves, do check out the cliffs as well. Heard that this place is one of the favourite suicide place in Japan. However, the view is breathtaking. Beautiful rocks cut into pieces with constant sea waves over million of years. Enjoy the fresh air and a short walk from the carpark! The view is scenic, and makes for good photos. This is definitely a good place to enjoy and embrace nature.

Strolling in Shirahama | The white sand and blue sea under the scorching sun
🏖️If you come to Shirahama, you naturally want to stroll on the beach and look at the sea. The weather in mid and late September is still extremely hot, the sun in the morning is fierce, and there are few people playing and frolicking on the beach.
=== === === === === === === === ===
🔻The characteristic of Shirahama is the white beach. The popular place to play is 'Shirarahama'. The sand here is made of siliceous sandstone crushed by waves. This kind of siliceous sandstone is also used as a raw material for glass, presenting a bright white like snow. However, due to the advancement of tourism and real estate development, the supply of sand has decreased and the area of the beach has decreased. In order to protect this tourist resource, Wakayama Prefecture has started a 'beach nourishment' plan since 1989. After a component survey, it was found that the sand in Perth, Australia, is compatible with Shirahama. Since then, about 140,000 tons of Australian sandstone have been supplemented here.
🔻Take the Meiko Bus to 'Senjojiki', where there are large white rocks stacked up formed by the erosion of the sea waves all year round. You can see the magnificent Pacific Ocean on it.
🔻Then walk for 5 minutes and go to 'Sandanheki'. It is recommended to look at the sea on the cliff, the cave inside is not very good-looking.
=== === === === === === === === ===
🚌Transportation
🔻My hotel is in 'Shirarahama'. Take the 'Meiko Bus' from here to 'Senjojiki'/'Sandanheki'.
🔻It is recommended to buy a 'Meiko Bus One-Day Ticket' (Figures 10 and 11), so you can go to all places in Shirahama in one day. You can buy the electronic version in the Jorudan transfer guide app, which supports Alipay and is very convenient.

Shirahama Onsen Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Apr)
Hotel location close to the bus station only 5-7mins by walk, there is one supermarket nearby the hotel, really convience. For my reservation included dinner and breakfast buffet, buffet provided a lot of food choice and free drinks, the food quality was unexpected than I thought, food taste was good. Onsen was perfect, but only 2 onsens available, and one of the onsen size smaller than another, need to wait until morning to change the onsen from ladies to men, but overall was awesome. Night time can enjoy the massage chair, karaoke, comic room etc. ,the facilities was well prepared after dinner or onsen to enjoy it. Overall score was over my expectation, strongly recommend to choose this hotel.

This amazing two-bedroom suite comes with a modern full kitchen and a toilet, but no shower room. However, there's one available on the first floor, a public hot spring bathhouse, which isn't crowded. It's very close to the beach, with various restaurants lining the streets on both sides. I recommend taking a stroll to the nearby seafood market and trying out the authentic fisherman's restaurant upstairs.#白濱 #Sirohama #南紀白濱溫泉

🈶️Japan accommodation suggestions🈶️
In general, it is recommended to choose high-end hotels in scenic areas. These hotels usually have excellent locations and quality, provide two meals a night, high-quality catering, and some even provide transportation services (need to be booked in advance). In fact, considering comprehensively, the price is not much higher than staying in a homestay, but the experience is more enjoyable. For large cities such as Tokyo and Sapporo, due to their important status as transportation hubs, the first choice is hotels with convenient transportation.
Shirahama Onsen, my healing and relaxation resort
Shirahama Onsen is located in Shirahama Town, Nishimuro County, Wakayama Prefecture, Japan, on the coastline of the southern part of the Kii Peninsula facing the Pacific Ocean. It has a long history and is known as one of the three ancient hot springs in Japan, along with Arima Onsen and Dogo Onsen.
There are many hot springs and accommodation facilities along the coast of Shirahama Onsen. It is very convenient to come here for a day trip from Kyoto, Osaka and Kobe, or to visit Shirahama Onsen. It is a famous seaside resort in Japan.
Shirahama Onsen is surrounded by the sea on three sides, with a beautiful natural environment, and is a famous resort in Japan. There are 30 baths here, including Benkei Spring, Bichotan Spring, and Iwado Spring. Among them, "Saki no Izumi" uses rocks extending to the Pacific Ocean to create an open-air hot spring, where you can relax while listening to the sound of the waves. The hot spring is a bicarbonate spring, which is effective for rheumatic diseases and motor function disorders.
It only takes more than 2 hours to take the electric train from Osaka, and more than 3 hours from Kyoto, which is quite convenient! You can buy a Kansai tour ticket to solve the problem of tickets, which can save a lot.
For accommodation in the Wakayama area, during the peak summer season, you need to book more than a month in advance to ensure that there are rooms and discounted prices.

Nachi Falls Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Apr)
Holy mountain~
#2023travelwish This is Nachi Taisha Shrine and Nachi waterfall situated in Kumano City, Wakayama prefecture. Kumano Nachi Taisha Shrine can be reached by bus from both Kii-Katsuura Station and Nachi Station. The hike up the Daimon-zaka was amazing, the air is so fresh and you can feel the beauty of Mother Nature. It is so peaceful and serene. I wish that I can travel to more unique and peaceful places in Japan! 😊
It is a little bit hard to find but once you know where it is then it is easy to walk and find your bearings either back to where you started or to another bus stop. This path leads from one of the lower bus stops to the main temples of Nachi Falls. It is steep and continual steps all the way so it is not suited to people with walking difficulties. The trees are tall and make for a good relaxing peaceful atmosphere while doing the walk.
I personally think it is best to do the descending walk. As there are a lot of steps around Nachi Falls take the bus to Nachi-San and enjoy the temples and surrounding area then walk down the Kumano Kondo back to the bus stop as it is all down hill. Nachi Falls is something worth conserving your energy for as you will do ample walking with plenty of stairs once you are there.
Worth to visit!
