The Wanshou Temple, known as the "Jingxi Xiao Forbidden City", finally reopened in mid-September. It was very difficult to make an appointment before the festival and the National Day holiday, so it was still a working day after the festival to make an appointment on the public account. Only then did I have the opportunity to come and explore the monuments and enjoy the collections. This Wanshou Temple is on the edge of the West Third Ring Road, on the north bank of Gaochun River, and there was it in the Tang Dynasty. At that time, it was called "Juser Temple"; Later, the Ming Dynasty Wanli years, the queen took out her private house money to renovate, and changed her name to "Wanshou Temple", in fact, it was also Queen Li to show the emperor that she had always been to the Buddha without intention of government, so this became a monastery built by the royal family. The main use of Wanshou Temple in the Ming Dynasty was Tibetan Sutra. Later, Shunzhi, Kangxi, Qianlong and Guangxu of the Qing Dynasty were rebuilt again. Qianlong also celebrated his mother's birthday in the temple three times, and Guangxu even used Wanshou Temple as a palace. In addition, the Yongle clock in the Great Bell Temple in the North Third Ring Road was originally stored in Wanshou Temple, and was moved away when Qianlong was in the temple. In modern times, sushi was used in captive camps, shelters, schools, kindergartens and other uses, and in the 1980s, the "Beijing Art Museum" was finally built, with artworks and calligraphy and paintings in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. Wanshou Temple is a seven-in-one grand monastery, the large hall, the partial temple, the temple building is solemn, but due to fire, military chaos and other reasons, the temple in the statues are not much left, most of the temples have been converted into exhibition halls, now to Wanshou Temple in addition to watching the Royal Monastery buildings, More importantly, visit the artifacts in the many exhibition halls. The exhibition includes several themes, several of which are very attractive. For example, the calligraphy and painting exhibitions of emperors and royal members of the Qing Dynasty can be enjoyed by the calligraphy of emperors of the Qing Dynasty. The portrait of Zhong Xuan and the blessing of Cixi written by Shunzhi Emperor are impressive. There are several exhibition halls on this theme, and you can enjoy it carefully. There is also a theme of the exhibition of Buddhist statues of Han Buddhism and Tibetan Buddhism, an exhibition of silk skills, and a furniture exhibition of Ming and Qing Dynasties, etc. In short, the exhibition content is very rich. There is also a red flag canal theme exhibition, I don't know why it is set here, and I don't know how it is related to the theme of Wanshou Temple or the Art Museum. On the east side of the seven-in-one monastery is the abbot's abbot's abbot, and a garden, the south of the garden is under construction, presumably it used to be the residence of the monks; The west side of the monastery is currently not open. The introduction should be the palace area. The place where the emperor lived before, I don't know if it will be open in the future. I will definitely come back when it is open. Today I saw a lot of "heavyweight" cultural relics, it is said that the entire Wanshou Temple collection of cultural relics has more than 100,000 pieces, and many are related to the royal, it is really a very high-standard exhibition, no wonder this is obviously a monastery but can be as an "art museum". Although today is a working day, there are still a lot of tourists. Before 9 o'clock in the morning, tourists waiting to enter the museum lined up. Many of them have very professional cameras hanging around their necks. Now this kind of monument is open more and more, and everyone can see the place is getting richer and richer.
