Carp Dori, Honten Review

I have been to this place many times. Great food and great beer served in great big glasses. Good variety or food, have also taken friends there that are not very adventurous and they loved it. Typical Japanese hospitality, very good service and polite. Have been a few slip up when we had big group and new staff but nothing to worry about. Close to station and reasonably priced. Looking forward to going back next week!

Place is tight for space, and warm. Sit by the bar and see them cook your food. Okinomiyake, grilled dishes and the bacon omelette are very good. Had only basic wine so settled for beer. Clean flavours, great atmosphere.

I felt sorry for the shef because the yakitori was a good taste but untrained staff and rude manager ruined the yammy food. Even we waited one and half hours for some food, the izakaya never served and they kept saying that the food is coming. Untrained staff could not take our order correctly and he did not know the food well. In addition, he asked me if I really wanted my ordered meal! The manager was very rude for the bad service as well. I would not go there any more.
