Christian Gracious Light Church Review

Enguangtang is the tallest building on the north street of Sishengyu. It was formerly known as the Methodist Wesleyan Church of Canada. It was first built in 1894 and has been destroyed three times in the turbulent era of the late Qing Dynasty. The existing church was built in 1921 and is nearly a hundred years old. Designed and built by Canadian missionary and architect Su Jixian, this building is the oldest and most complete Christian church in Chengdu.

We came to the second floor and saw a teacher singing a poem with the people on the first floor and the second floor. I was infected by the atmosphere. I also sang with them for a while and felt the peace of mind. I observed that most of the people over 50 years old inside, and I think this is very good, much better than dancing square dance. The church has activities every day, usually open to the public, but please do not make loud noises. The believers are very enthusiastic, but please take pictures and don't turn on the flash to avoid disturbing.
