Daimaru is a large Japanese department store group based in Kansai, with branches in Otsuma, Kyoto, Kobe, Sapporo, Fukuoka and Tokyo. It has also had branches overseas. The trademark of Daimaru is written in a circle with a "big" word. The current trademark was used when the Otaru Umeda store opened in 1983 (Showa 58). But its social chapter still uses the design of the "big" word in the circle, and some stores still use the old trademark.
