The National Memorial of the Federal Hall is located at 26 Wall Street, New York, opposite the New York Stock Exchange. The memorial is a marble building of ancient Greek style, with eight simple and elegant circular columns standing on the steps. It was the seat of the first U.S. Congress. It was here that Washington was sworn in as President of the United States on April 30, 1789. Free visit to the Federal Hall. Now at the entrance of the hall stands a vivid sculpture of Washington.
