Guangxiao Temple, one of Guangdong's famous ancient buildings, is located near Jinghui Road at the north end of Guangxiao Road, Yuexiu District, Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province. According to the "Guangxiao Temple Zhi", it was originally the former residence of Zhao Jiande, the Nanyue king of the second century BC. In the Three Kingdoms era, Wu Guoxuan lived here, and was named Yuanxuan. After the death of Yuan, the family house was called a temple. The name of the temple has been changed several times. The first name stopped the temple. The five-year (401) in Long'an, Dongjin, called Wuyuan Temple, the Tang Dynasty called Ganming Faxing Temple, the five-generation Nanhan Dynasty called Ganheng Temple, the Northern Song Dynasty called Wanshou Temple, the Southern Song Dynasty called the Enguangxiao Temple, and soon changed the Guangzi to Guangzi. It was renamed Guangxiao Temple. The temple is a rigorous structure and magnificent temple, especially the cultural relics and historical sites. Such as the Daxiong Temple built in the East Jin Dynasty, the washing springs dug by Damo in the Southern Dynasty, the Ephrase Tower, the Shijing Building, the Thousand Buddha Tower in the Southern Han Dynasty, the Six-Zudian Temple in the Song and Ming Dynasty, the Reclining Buddha Temple, as well as inscriptions, Buddha statues, dumpling trees, Bodhi trees, etc., are precious relics of Buddhism.
