Saint James is the patron saint of sailors, and in Hanseatic cities highly dependent on sea transportation, the safety of sailors is the safety of cities, so every Hanseatic city has a Church of St. James. The church of St. James in Lübeck has a ship built in, supposedly to commemorate a shipwreck, while praising the heroic sailors.
The Church of the Jacobean, located near the Kubek Square in the city of Lubeck, has a long history. The building of the Jacobean church is in the shape of a Gothic style building. There are two ancient pipe organ inside.
