Nanhu Academy is an ancient academy with traditional Hui style. At the end of the Ming Dynasty, Hongcun people built six private schools, also known as the Six Academies of Yihu. In the nineteenth year of Jiaqing in the Qing Dynasty (1814), the Six Academies of Yihu were merged and rebuilt, named Wenjiacun or Nanhu Academy.
